“technically” this is a golf course bar, the problem is that the Jamestown S’Klallam tribe does everything so well that the pub has become a local favorite. They have a rotating list of micro brews, wines by the glass and bottle (made strong by the need to supply the DOUBLE EAGLE STEAK & SEAFOOD restaurant adjacent), and a full bar with rotating special cocktails along with an admirably deep menu of whiskeys from around the globe.
The food is very well executed! We have dined here more than a dozen times and the food has been universally outstanding. The char broiled burger or elk burger are better than I can pull off at home. Everything that we have tried has been 5 stars; the seared ahi tuna appetizer is almost as good as you can get in Hawaii, certainly better than it has a right to be here in Washington.
Service is sharp, friendly and professional. Occasionally staff can get hung up with golf playing regulars but not to an annoying degree. The tables can fill up for “Linner” as the local retirees show up for an early dinner starting about 4pm. Dressed to be out on the town this crowd celebrates the quality food and enjoys reasonable prices for quality food.
The restaurant seats about 50 including 10 or so at the bar (our favorite place to dine), there are TVs tuned to golf and sports but the audio is background music.
It’s a personal favorite, we hope to see you there some time. Cheers.

Amazing! This is my first time here and our waiter Jeremy was so wonderful to us, very kind and funny. All the staff were very wonderful but he really stood out! This was my birthday dinner and it was so tasty. Went on a Monday and had the special, Chicken Parmesan with fettuccine. Super tasty, saucy and cheesy, just perfect. Also ordered was a side salad with the balsamic vinegarette with the candied walnuts which was delicious. Even from someone who doesn’t usually order a salad. I had the white peach Long Island cocktail which was super yummy and just the right strength. It also came with a peach gummy candy which is a nice touch. We also got the creme brulee and peanut butter pie (which they make in house). The creme brulee had a nice crisp crust and was super creamy, the peanut butter pie was very rich, and chocolatey delicious. Glad I split them so I could try both (not pictured because they were eaten too quickly). Will definitely be back soon to try more of there delicious food and drinks. The view below of the golf course was nice, they had outdoor seating available. There was also a waterfall feature outside with gold fish! The atmosphere was fabulous.

Great selection of entrees made with distinct signature style, received good service, can get crowded, just go inside and take yourself a seat. Be mindful underneath the tables are sharp wooden rail blocks, be careful not to bruise yourself!

Beautiful view, top notch food and service. I’ll be back.
Absolutely phenomenal service. All three people working the bar were wonderfully helpful. They told me some fantastic places to check out in town and the food…the food is incredible. I had a elk burger and calamari, went back this morning and got a mushroom bacon omelet and some GREAT bacon.
Julie made my drink of choice perfectly, she has helped me multiple times and is always a delight

I hate giving poor reviews. I really do, but this was our first and last experience with Stymies. We ordered 2 Prime Rib dinners to go. I got to Stymies and they were busy and our order was ready. After about 5 minutes the bar tender came over and engaged. I told her I was picking up a to go order. She looked to verify the order was sitting there and handed me the check.
She went on to do other things because she was busy. It took me less time than 10 seconds to pull out my card and glance at the check. The bartender was gone for close to 15 minutes. If she would have stuck around she could have rung me up and had me out of there in less than 2 minutes.
We live less than 1/2 mile away. We got home and all the food was cold. We heated it up and the prime rib was tough and chewy. Not good. Total waste of money.
My recommendation is that Stymies come up with a better to go process at a minimum. Big turn off for us. We will not be back. I will not be treated that way again I can promise that.

Great experience! After touring the lavender fields my group decided to stop here for lunch instead of going back to Sequim. It was worth the stop. We had an amazing view from our table overlooking the putting green and the first tee box. The burger was delicious. Great service and excellent beer selection.

Here for a few days of hiking and seeing the Olympic NP. We finished some tough hikes and wanted a beer to recover ! We struggled in Port Angeles finding good service so we came here outside of town.
Great service. Fun environment. We also decided to eat at the bar and had the crab cakes and crab mac’n cheese. Both were excellent.
This bar is at the country club. Look for the restaurant sign. Go in the front door and turn right.
