Absolute top notch BBQ – Larry and the team are doing an amazing job serving up some quality Southern BBQ. The Super platter, with an added potato, had 5 of us more than satisfied – Larry even hooked us up with pickles/onions, butter for our potato, and some extra spicy sauce. The Brisket tenderness and super moist Half Chicken stole the show, with a beutifull peach cobbler desert, we are sure to be back foe more! One of the waitresses even offered to help take our photo! On top of all that, this place is clean and has a beutifull esthetic with its rustic decor.

Stubby’s is one of our benchmark BBQ restaurants here in town. Prices are reasonable, portion sizes are generous, comfortable seating, fun atmosphere, and folks behind the counter have always been very nice and friendly. I really liked the coleslaw which I thought was mild relative to other places. The beans were good and had pieces meat. The sandwich was mild with a middle ground smokey flavor- not too smokey, not too little. It seemed to be fresh and cooked fully without being burnt. I really liked the BBQ sauce and I would have asked for extra had I known. I can’t identify what is unique about it but I almost wonder if they make it in-house. I think I could smell the aroma of tamarind. I don’t believe there’s any ketchup in this one-which I don’t like in barbecue sauce. I’d probably buy some sauce to take home but I didn’t ask about it. Next time! I did note the peach cobbler. It caught me by surprise when I was paying for the meal. I’ve only seen that at one other barbecue place so I was impressed.

If I could rate this place 10 stars I would! Most Amazing smokey rich flavored bbq. And the portions were jaw dropping! Then talking to two of the most gracious sweet lovely people was absolutely a joy to experience. Try everything you can and I can guarantee that you will enjoy it and have leftovers too! The beef ribs was do tender, the brisket super moist, the stuffed baked potatoes was all in one outstanding meal and dont forget to get some great cobbler to take home for dessert . We will definitely be back all the way from Colorado!

Wonderful family owned restaurant. Meats were delicious. Staff was fabulous. Visited on a Monday night and not too busy, but steady traffic. Supreme potato was tasty and ginormous!

They gave you a great size portion, but the beans was plain, taste like they came right of the can. The meat has a funny smell. I couldn’t eat it. The lady was really nice, the menu doesn’t give any details, so we thought we was ordering off the menu but when we got ready to pay it was a lot higher. But the lady was really nice in helping us. First time there and last time. Food just wasn’t good!

Very nice people, great food, and peach cobbler. We splurged and did the super combo. Everything was very good. I even enjoyed the brisket which isn’t my favorite meat while eating at BBQ joints. Their homemade sauce was good and the coleslaw was wonderful too, I say that cause it’s hard for me to find a coleslaw that I like and they hit it on the head. Pricing a little steep but it was worth it, all very good.

I think my partner & I split a combo platter so we could try a little of everything. Not sure if thats what it was called. Got to try their brisket, rib, ham, turkey, and pulled pork. Brisket was sooo good and I’ve never had turkey that flavorful. The staff helped us understand how they ran everything (order at the counter cafe style & pay at counter) and were very friendly about everything. We took leftovers with us, it was a lot of food for the price.

Read the reviews and headed there, unfortunately we were not able to order. There was only one customer sitting down and eating, we waited for a little bit and a lady came over to take out order, after answering a couple of questions she excused herself and went to the drive thru window. We waited a while and someone else came to take our order, we asked the same questions and then again a car drove in and the guy left us mid sentence to wait on the drive thru window.
We walked away and went to McLards.
