The stroud family has hit a home run. I had the brisket and jalapeño cheddar sausage combo. There are sauces on the table but they are not necessary. The meat speaks for itself, no sauce needed. Follow your meal with the peach churro cobbler and ice cream. Out of this world good. If you are in the Dallas Texas area, make this a meal stop. You’ll be glad you did. Great food by great people, Matt and his team treat you like family.

10/10 experience. Everyone was so warm and welcoming. I’m full just typing this. Food was fresh and came out to order. Maurice was my server and recommended a few popular items. Jojo was attentive and overall exceptional service from the entire team. I got the brisket enchiladas with Mac and cheese as my side. I also got a link in addition to my order.

Strouderosa BBQ is absolutely incredible! The meats are cooked and smoked to perfection — tender, flavorful, and full of that authentic BBQ taste. Every side dish is just as amazing — the borracho beans, mac n’ cheese, deviled egg salad, and jalapeño cream corn are all delicious and full of flavor. You can tell a lot of care and passion goes into every bite. Easily one of the best BBQ spots around!

I can’t say enough about this restaurant! You are always greeted immediately upon entering and the staff is always so pleasant. I always order the jalapeno cheese sausage sandwich with tumble fries (gotta get the recipe) and the fixings. This was the first time I had a sausage with the cheese literally oozing out, and the flavor of the fixings is something else (need the recipe for this also).
You can tell that the staff really love their jobs, which is a direct reflection of the ownership! I actually found them when going to lunch at a restaurant that used to occupy the space and was pleasantly surprised, upon eating my meal! I began telling and recommending it to my coworkers and those that ate there also loved it. I will definitely try some other options on my next visit!

My mom and I used to come here all the time. We would order food for our entire family of six, so we were spending a significant amount each visit. I hadn’t been back in a while until recently. The staff is still just as friendly as I remember, which I truly appreciate.
Unfortunately, the food is not the same.
At first, I considered simply not returning. However, that changed when I found a hair in the potato salad — which also had large, hard chunks of potato and egg. The beans are not the same as they used to be. The ribs were tough and lacked flavor. The turkey tasted like a plain, unseasoned piece of meat. The shredded pork was overly salty. The macaroni and cheese was dry and bland. The brisket tasted boiled and under-seasoned. I was honestly afraid to even try the creamed corn.
It’s disappointing to say that after this experience, we won’t be returning. I’ve recommended this restaurant to so many people over the years, which makes this even more upsetting. It’s truly sad to see a place we once loved decline like this.

Approaching this establishment, my GPS led me in circles around the parking lot until i found it. Upon approaching the front counter to place an order to go, i was welcomed by an employee who gave me a menu and also a take-home menu for my friends. As i went over the menu another employee who could have been the pitmaster asked if he could help, which he did and i ended up getting the “little joe” which is 1/4 lbs of 2 meats plus a side. I also got a homemade jalapeno cheese sausage. .
The food has a great smoke flavor, smoke rings on your brisket, moist Turkey breast that dissolves in your mouth easily, the sausage was better than other places i been to with real cheese inside and again the flavor is thru the roof! My side was mac n cheese and OMG it was the perfect amount of creaminess, delicious, warm, and cheesy. My meal also came with mild barb que sauce, crispy crinkle cut pickles, crispy sliced jalapenos and the 3 toast was toasted perfectly. Everything came together nicely with alot of flavor in every single bite. If i had to say that only 1 thing was off is that i didnt recieve any utensils/plastic ware in my bag to eat when i got back to work. I will be returning soon sometime and ill try something new again. Thank you !!

I couldnt help but think there was somethin missing.. in my opinion maybe actual shredded cheese would have been what i was looking for even tho the cheese sauce added to it was great! Brisket was on point! As for the beans i wasnt a fan of. Great flavor in the beans but just not for me. It resembled a taste of ranch red beans mixed with pico. Not so much the “borracho” side. Food was still good. Will have to come and try something diffrent again. =)

Do you want mind blowing bbq? This is your place. The food is amazing (we had the Little Joe & I had the yummy Mac & cheese). Best I have ever had. The staff is attentive (but not annoying) and fun. The owner, Tricia, stopped by to just say hi (this part moved my needle from 4.8 to 5) and shared their story (I won’t ruin it for you). Even without alcohol on the menu — it’s a 5+ star.

Absolutely hands-down some of the best BBQ we’ve ever had. Every single bite was packed with flavor—perfectly smoked, tender, and clearly made with care. The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth good, the sides were just as impressive, and nothing tasted rushed or generic.
On top of that, the atmosphere was welcoming and the service was friendly and efficient. You can tell this place takes real pride in their food. If you’re even thinking about trying Strouderosa BBQ, stop thinking and just go!!! We’ll 100% be back!!

Ok so I googled this place today sitting at my son’s job and came to see what the hype was in their reviews. And baybay when I say they didn’t disappoint! I ordered a brisket sandwich that didn’t make it out the parking lot, told my son he had to go tell the owner how banging that sandwich was, then I get home to try the sausage and Mac and cheese DELISH!!!!! This is hands down the best barbecue that I’ve had since I been in Texas which is 9yrs. I hate I live so far away, but TRUST, when my taste buds gets to craving barbecue I’ll definitely take that hour and forty five minute drive! And I can’t forget to mention how friendly their staff was! I love y’all and will definitely see yall soon

Straight up some of the best bbq I’ve ever had. Delicious food, awesome atmosphere, incredible service. It’s a little tricky to get to but it is worth it. I would drive an hour for food and service this good. Cannot recommend it enough
