I visited Stroubes for dinner and it was Valentine’s Day weekend so there were many couples and one large group at the restaurant. My server Layla was very sweet, informative and attentive. I came for the New York Strip steak to which I added the Demi Glace and enjoyed the yeast rolls. The Caesar salad was good however the grilled version offers more visual interest and flavor. I did not enjoy the crayfish risotto I ordered as a side because it did not have great flavor and was a bit dry. The steak was a bit thinner than I typically enjoy at a steakhouse (especially for the price) but it was cooked to the proper temperature which I appreciated even more. I enjoyed two cocktails which were flavorful and balanced. It was easy to have a conversation in the space and the wraparound windows made people watching a must. One area I would improve is the restroom. The toilet seats need to be replaced as they are discolored.

Tonight was my husband and I first time here at Stroubes for our first year Anniversary. The restaurant atmosphere was very, very nice. The food was delicious, and our waitress Lillian was so nice, sweet, and very awesome! We can’t wait to come back and dine in with y’all. As a Louisiana trained Chef, I highly recommend this as one of the most consistent restaurants on taste, recipe development, sophistication , and well trained staff. I truly believe the chef has the talent to bring any dish to the table that holds a 5 star . We have been returning Throughout the years and look forward to all of our special occasions, taking place here at Stroubes . The staff always welcomes you in with a friendly sincere greeting.

I went here while passing through on my way to Alabama and i was fascinated when i saw the menu. I had decided to kip for the night nearby and see the Nutcracker while i was there and came before the show.
For a starter i had the beef carpaccio and it was delicious, though of note it wasn’t clearly labeled that it was raw. I know i might look dumb because it’s raw by definition but if you don’t know what carpaccio is you might order it and not realize. That said it was absolutely delicious and i don’t regret the order. It should just be an informed risk.
Following that i ordered the duck louisiane and my goodness is was heavenly. Very tender and juicy, cooked to perfection. The seasoning was sweet and savory and i enjoyed it, and it was well balanced by the grits and cream spinach. Fantastic dish.
The food was delicious but moderate in price, but you get what you pay for. It was totally fair and worth every penny.
Staff was friendly and accommodating to criticism even though it was incredibly busy. They did well when i had an issue
Long story short, if y’all are every in Montgomery and want a sophisticated take on southern dining this is definitely worth a look!

Tonight was my wife and I first time here at Stroubes. I’ve passed this restaurant up so many times and now we were able to dine there tonight for our first year anniversary. Incredible food and service. Five star experience all around. The stars of the dinner were the mash potatoes, seasonal gnocchi, and lamp chops. Filet with crab and hollandaise was amazing too, their calamari is cooked in tallow oil so it’s tastier and healthier, the Steak Diane was delicious (especially if you love mushrooms). The seasonal Spritz was a wonderfully refreshing cocktail. Their seasonal items are well thought out, so I’d recommend trying something off that menu.

Great meal and excellent service. We ordered the Beef Carpaccio and Duck Louisiane, which were both absolutely delicious. Our server worked with us to select a wine to pair with the duck. It was a lovely experience.

Loved absolutely everything about this restaurant! Location, food, service, and the ambience was impeccable! Really wished we could have met the chef (Mr.Jeffrey Hobbs) to let him know just how much we enjoyed his delicious foods! Our steaks and lobsters were prepared just as we desired. Would love if you would consider adding a lobster mac and cheese to the menu!!!
