The menu includes four types of ramen broth with a variety of high-end ingredients that are added to make the dish even more delectable. One of the major aspects of Strings is the noodles themselves. Strings will make fresh noodles daily using only their unique dough mixer and noodle maker imported straight from Japan. We decided, on a whim, to stop into this restaurant and try their Ramen while in Madison. All I can say is the food was fantastic, the atmosphere was comforting and the service was amazing. We had the special – Ramen bowl, dumplings & hot tea for only $20. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for authentic Ramen bowls!

Cute cozy atmosphere!! Open kitchen and large window seatings. The staff were so incredibly kind! Very tentative as well. They even offered to take a photo of my friend and I. That was so sweet. The food was absolutely incredible!! We got the tonkotsu ramen and takoyaki. The broth alone was out of this world. 10/10 will be coming back often!! Thank you Strings of Madison!!

They used to serve flavorful, delicious, full cuts of turkey meat, and now they serve tasteless ground turkey. Bring back the tasty turkey. The broth was not delicious and flavorful as it used to be unfortunately. It needed soy sauce to bring flavor. The noodles were great tho. Topping options at the table were good too. Service was good. Also agree with what others have noted, the seating up front is very cramped

The pork belly Tonkotsu Ramen is a must try! I don’t usually prefer eating very fatty meat but this was nothing like it! The best meat I’ve ever had in a ramen bowl. The servers are really honest, funny and amazing as well! Must try if you’re in the area.

Love this place ! The staff who are from Indonesia are so warm and welcoming , which is much needed in a cold ass city like Madison. Shout out to the manager and Indra my server !
Having lived in Japan, this ramen is close to authentic. I highly recommend the Shoyu Buta Ramen for that fatty pork belly — yum!
Also, try the Sasa Dango! this Redbean filled mochi treat is perfect right after your ramen to satisfy that sweet tooth.

We came hungry and left absolutely obsessed! This ramen was on a whole different level—rich, flavorful broth, perfectly chewy noodles, and toppings that made every bite unforgettable. We meant to take pictures first, but one slurp in and all thoughts of Instagram went out the window. It was just too good to wait. Honestly, we’ll be dreaming about this bowl until we’re back for more. 11/10, would risk burning our tongues again!

Such amazing food! Good size portions and even more flavor! The owners are so friendly and nice! Makes eating here taste that much better knowing how involved and passionate they are! My favorite is the gyoza so good, and ramen all ways! The pork belly is melt in your mouth fresh and good! Save room for some mochi ice cream, the red bean is my favorite!!! Great place to get good food that does not take long to prepare!!
