TL;DR: The vibes are immaculate. Lighting & music very sensory friendly. No TVs. ***Incredible Allergy Awareness*** Great service. Plenty of not boring Non-Alcoholic options.

If I could, I’d give them 8 stars. The staff energy, communication, knowledge…I can’t say enough good things about our experience.

I have complex food allergies so eating at a restaurant is hard. If you have any sort of food allergies you know how stressful it is…
But NOT at Strega! Holy wah! It was so easy!! I don’t have to spend a single ounce of energy thinking about what I was going to eat! I explained my allergies, they asked clarifying questions, and explained their allergy care process, told the other waitstaff who helped us so nothing got missed, and told me about any possible cross-contamination.

And then they just brought us food! I didn’t have to spend 20 minutes struggling to make a choice that was safe for me to eat. They worked it out so I could just relax and enjoy! That was a first for me and such a relief.

And then the FOOD itself! Y’all. The food was PHENOMENAL!! Fresh veg. Rich & unique flavors. The cocktails were perfection, too.
There was wonderful live music but it was still easy to have a conversation. Easily the best quality and most unique cuisine in the county.

It will be our go-to date night spot from now on. So grateful for our amazing dinner tonight & getting to actually relax at a restaurant for the first time in years. Thank you Strega Team!

Went here for our anniversary, and Strega Nonna was just amazing. I don’t write reviews often, but I felt this place was more than deserving of one! Both the food and servers were amazing, and we would definitely go back again. Thank you to our server Alec, and to our second server (the bar manager).

This was our first time here. There’s nothing about this place that is a “typical Italian restaurant”. We loved it. The atmosphere is laid back, not stuffy at all. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And the food was great! The menu changes weekly, so unless you come here a lot, you won’t get the same food. We’ll definitely be back and recommend that you give it a try. The only warning that I would give is that it’s a bit pricey, but we felt that it was worth it.

A truly world class experience in Negaunee. It’s hard not to sound corny when writing a rave review but the food and folks at Strega Nona are fantastic. Some of the best food in the state/region let alone the UP. We went 2 nights in a row and will probably go again tonight because won’t be back in the area for a year. I don’t really have great pictures because we devoured the food as it came out.

Shout out to Strega Nonna and the entire staff! We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our entire experience and talked about the food all night. Actually, I’m still talking about it! We enjoyed the Celebrate Spring, 7-courses. Each new thing we tried was my “favorite”, but truthfully, it’s impossible to have a favorite when it’s ALL so spectacularly delicious! We will be back for sure. The staff was so attentive and lovely. It was a very special evening out for my husband and I.

I was really enjoying being in the moment so my photos are sparse.

My husband and I love exploring different parts of the UP, and the last few days we explored the Marquette area. Strega Nonna came on my list of places to look up for dining. We absolutely love Italian cuisine and this place did not disappoint! Family style plates and atmosphere! Awesome outdoor area and the drinks were on point! Fresh sourdough, pastas made in-house, locally sourced ingredients, you cannot go wrong here! Do yourself a favor and check out what they are doing Keep up the amazing work! We look forward to being back!

What a fun experience! They line up a multi course menu, pace the meal accordingly so you aren’t too full, and offer a wide variety of foods to try that all balance well with one another. We had ahi tuna, squid, roast, pasta, everything was delicious and well crafted. The staff seemed excited to present their dishes and gave a wonderful welcome. I felt like I was in the home of a family enjoying a meal cooked with love. One of the most interesting meal experiences I’ve had and well worth a visit!

Every dish tasted amazing. There’s something special about sitting down and having a restaurant take care of you . Not having to pick the meal was an absolute delight. Just bring us something delicious. We felt transported to a far away culinary utopia! We shall return.

The place has a great vibe and the dinner experience, sharing food, is good idea! The service is good… now, taking about the food, not the best. Undercooked pasta, which was recooked but it was undercooked again :(, good flavors not the best execution (specially for the price :$) I had a good time with live music for sure. I’ll be back hopping have a better meal. Thanks grandma

Absolutely loved this.
Went with the strega experience and would recommend this route. You get get an antipasti, 2 pasta courses and a meat course. Well that was what was offered for today, and the menu is subject to change to what the season has to offer.
Unfortunately I didn’t get a good photo of the antipasti. The love apples were excellent. The octopus was sooo good, in my opinion. First time ever trying octopus and loved it. Also on this plate were green beans that IMMEDIATELY brought me to a garden and eating them fresh off the vine. Sooo good along with the carrots. We tried and enjoyed the whole plate.
The first pasta was a caramelized onion and wild mushroom lasagna. This was so good. So very good.
The second pasta was a spaghetti type noodle in a pesto. Again and a consistent theme, sooo good. We both enjoyed this dish a lot.
The meat dish was braised pork with roasted potatoes and roccolini…. unbelievable. Tender. Flavorful. Delicious. LoL. Unbelievably delicious.
The wine that was paired to the menu was as well sooo very good. A white with the first antipasti and then a rose with the 2nd pasta and finally a red with the meat course.
We did get the tiramisu and it was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. In fact this whole experience might have been the best food I’ve ever had in the Upper Peninsula. In Marquette county, this might be the best food I’ve had. It was about a 2 hour dinner, we were not rush and felt comfortable. We spoke with the staff while they made the rounds and all were the best! Enjoyed meeting them all and can not wait to MAKE A RESERVATION for my next experience.
