Authentic food with good service. Tried this place for the first time and i was very impressed by it. I found the taste of the food very authentic to what Indian food tastes back in India. The food came out pretty quick. All of it was very good quantity. The vada and biryani was my favourite. Although the keema gravy for the poori was a bit more gravy than meat but I guess it depends on the preference of the person. All in all, great place, I recommend this as a must try and I’ll be coming back here again.

Best South Indian Thali in town!
Streets of India serves an absolutely delicious South Indian thali with authentic flavors that truly stand out. Being served on a banana leaf makes the experience even more special and gives such a comforting, homely feeling. Every dish tasted fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. It really feels like enjoying a traditional home-cooked South Indian meal. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic taste and a soulful dining experience!

Ready for a storytime?

We ordered punugulu and it was the best we had so far. So we came the next day to order punugulu and a plain dosa. We had to wait literally 45min for it but it was fine as they just opened. But the punugulu was not hot it was in room temperature. So we gave it back hoping for a hot serving. 10 mins gone by and we asked the waitress she mentioned “They are making it new” so we waited another 5 mins and the dish came. It was still not hot just a little warm and you know what it was the same set of punugulu they served before. I confirmed this as had of picture of the first set. We went and confronted who said this a new batch, and why do we have to wait 15 mins for a reheat? So we cancelled the dish. To mention the dosa, it was cooled down to room temperature before serving. We understand there is only one waitress at the time but the least minimum is we deserve food being served hot.

Food is really good but not the service. Will not be coming back!

1000000/10 for Thali
Absolutely loved every item on the thali! So many things were new to me but I am amazed by how each item hit a different yet soothing taste. Would highly recommend even if you aren’t a South Indian food lover

My highest recommendation for their thali. Authentic banthi bhojanam on banana leaf, never had that since I came to Canada, really thankful for bringing that experience back in Canada. Food is really really amazing and authentic. Visited with parents and they absolutely loved the taste. Best part was they added biryani and bagara rice as a part of this authentic thali, satisfying people who dont wanna miss biryani. Utmost gratitude and appreciation for serving with patience and affection despite being very very busy. Must try not just for the food but also for the experience and quality.

Writing this review because of the recently introduced unlimited thali.

Starting from serving on fresh banana leaf, I was pleasantly surprised and reminded of the unlimited meals served on south India

The service was very good with both the owners and people who serve being very kind. It was very good and far exceeded my expectations. It’s a true unlimited meal with refills for everything.

Everything was tasty from the badhusha sweet to the bagara rice to flavored spicy buttermilk, it was very satisfying. Kudos to the team for serving a good meal in the Windsor area.

This place is pure joy. From the A-class food to the warm people and cozy ambience, everything just hits right. We’re regulars here and absolutely love the food, but the unlimited banana leaf meal truly stole the show. It brought back so many comforting, nostalgic memories and every single bite was delicious.
The staff deserves a special shout-out, they’re genuinely kind and go above and beyond. We accidentally left our toddler’s bottle behind, and they literally ran out into the snow to return it. That says everything.
Highly, highly recommend.

PS: The picture is missing about six items
I couldn’t wait to dig in

Ordered Bezawada Punugulu. Shocked to see a cockroach in it. Very disgusting . Stay away for this place.

Reply: It’s inside the chutney- who will eat knowingly, It’s brought to you and your staff’s notice right away and we had spoken about the order, do not be puzzled as if you never knew it. Accept the unhygienic food and maintain due diligence to not repeat it again.

I had Thali today, and honestly, it was an amazing experience from start to finish. Every item on the plate was full of flavor and felt freshly prepared. The variety itself was impressive — from the perfectly spiced curries to the warm, soft rotis and well-cooked rice, everything complemented each other so well. The balance of spices was just right, not overpowering but rich enough to bring out the authentic taste of Indian cuisine.
