We had reservations for our first night in Anguilla. Our service was friendly and attentive, the view was outstanding, and the food was delicious. We ate there twice, and had the tuna flatbread both times. The steamed snapper preparation was yummy, and the grilled shrimp tasted so good to us. Also great was the tuna tartar. My only complaint it that they knew it was my 60th birthday and did not acknowledge it at all.

I came here during my day trip to Anguilla. I will say I thoroughly enjoyed my food. Probably the best goat that I had on vacation thus far it was very soft and fell off the bone.. I also like the fact that the beach chairs are not an additional fee, especially coming from an island like Saint Barths the day before and spending an unnecessarily amount of cash simply on the food and beach chairs. It was very refreshing to see that this was something that was on a first come first serve basis I was able to enjoy the beach after my meal.

We went to Anguilla for the day and it was BEAUTIFUL!!! Of course, you have to get past customs and get your passport stamped!!! Our taxi driver took us the Straw Hat. It was recommended to us, so we went to see what it was about. First, our timing was perfect. It was still early in the day and there were not alot of patrons yet. We sat outside and outside was a patio that overlooked the white sands and beach! The view was awesome and it was so peaceful!!!! Our server was great and the food was 10/10!! We had red snapper (common theme for our meals), beans and rice, veggies, jerk chicken and tuna! When in Anguilla, definitely eat here!

One of our very best meals in Anguilla in February 2026, was at Straw Hat Restaurant, located at the beautiful Frangipani Beach Resort on Meads Bay. We loved it so much that we dined there twice during our 10-day stay — and we tried many restaurants on the island.
The service was exceptional — attentive, polished, and genuinely warm without ever feeling intrusive. It’s clear they take pride in what they do.
The food was creative, incredibly fresh, and absolutely delicious. I had the Asian Salad with blackened chicken both times because it was that good — perfectly balanced, flavorful, and beautifully prepared.
The atmosphere is wonderful — elegant yet relaxed, with that quintessential Meads Bay setting that makes Anguilla so special. The cocktails were also fantastic and thoughtfully crafted.
Reservations are important, as it’s understandably popular. If you’re visiting Anguilla, this restaurant should absolutely be on your list. It was easily one of our favorites of the entire trip.

This place is where it’s at. The food, the service (spectacular) and the location make this place a #1 stop! The breakfast sandwich and tuna pizza are the absolute best! Come for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner! Shane is the best he won’t disappoint!

Talk about breakfast/dinner with a view!!! Beautiful restaurant overlooking the beach and Mead’s Bay. Very quiet and peaceful listening to the water hit the shore. Probably the most peaceful breakfast and dinner spot. Staff very helpful and friendly, food fresh and nicely prepared. By far the best breakfast on the island! They offer chairs and umbrellas to their dining and bar guests.

Been coming here for 20 years and the right now the food is best it’s ever been. So consistent. It was 2 years ago as well.. Service, everything just a well oiled machine. Well done Peter! The curried goat is best on island . Other standouts are the tuna flatbread, tartare, bites, grilled veggies, mashed potatoes, Mahi Rueben. Rum punch is one of best on island as well!! Lunch or dinner this is a spot you can go to several times while here for a week. I just miss the lanterns on the wall from pre hurricane.

The food was absolutely amazing! I went for breakfast and dinner and both were great. The drinks were amazing as well! A lot of options and they are pretty strong!! As far as the service.. it was top tier! Rosie was sooooo sweet. She made the experience that much better. You can tell she is a hard worker and really takes care of her guests!! I totally recommend this place and definitely ask for Rosie!! We went twice while here both on Wednesday nights and there was live music which I loved. Also if you sit in front of their restaurant in the beach chairs (free) and along the beach down to turtles nest, someone will come out with their food & drink menu and serve you right from the beach. Omar served us from the beach and he was also outstanding! Overall a great experience and we will definitely be back.
