Cozy, comfortable and positive experience being a guest to the bar without being a guest at the hotel it serves. The bartender made a great top shelf margarita that wasn’t overpirced. Id recommend this bar for small group to have casual or work conversations at the bar or on the many spaced out couches. They even have a fireplace to settle in next to away from the bar if you want to enjoy a relaxed and comfortable place to enjoy your drink or food.

This restaurant is located inside of the Holiday Inn hotel. I feel it is a really good restaurant for hotel visitors but not a destination for locals.
The place was clean and the staff was cheerful and friendly enough. Prices are higher than you would expect from a competitive restaurant but a lot cheaper than you would expect for a hotel restaurant. We decided to stay instead of going out for the convenience and the kicker was that kids eat free so our son was able to get a free meal and that balance out the total ticket price.

This is more for the service not the food… Went in for lunch with a co-worker, we both ordered the exact same thing, Sliders (definitely recommend!!!) The server comes with one plate??? 12 minutes later the other order comes… Then we asked for the check. When printed the server ask if we ordered a pizza too? When we said no, she replied oh well do you want it anyway? Upon seeing my bill of $27 (1 order of sliders ,1 White pizza, 1 Ice Tea ) I put my card down to pay to have a paid receipt come for $35 ( I guess she forgot to add more things she forgot)… I’ve worked in restaurants for over 2 decades… There’s mistakes and there’s just lack of effort… This experience was definitely a total lack of effort and truly made my lunch turn to heartburn

I stay here for work once a month so I’ve tried almost everything on the menu. The food is too pricey for what you get both in quantity and quality. $20 salads (with protein) doesn’t even come tossed (dressing on the side), buns for burgers/sandwiches are greasy, pizza is thick and flavorless etc. The staff is friendly, but overall I wouldn’t recommend.

My new favorite place here in Carlsbad now. Just because of our bartender Jennifer. She so sweet and kind but also easy going and fast service .. the rush came in around she was on top of it and Welles didn’t even notice the rush till they left and it got quiet.
