We used to drive from Lake Worth to Coral Springs to visit a favorite breakfast spot of ours. Oddly enough, the owners of that place asked us if we ever tried Strathmore in Wellington. We had never heard of it, but we made a note that we should probably try it one day. Last week was our first try, and it was love at first bite. It was an OMG moment. I love eggs but never get excited about them. Whoever is cookin’ them up in their kitchen knows EXACTLY what they are doing. I can’t really explain it better than saying you have to taste them to believe it. Scrambled eggs are on another level. And that’s the boring and safe way to eat eggs, in my opinion. Their omlettes….fugedaboudit. I’m 53 years old and have never been served an omlette like the way they make it, and they are ENORMOUS. If you’re into grits….enough real whipped butter on the side lets you make a delicious soupy mess out of them. I grew up in the south and have consumed my fair share of grits….these were the best I have ever had. Now, let’s talk about their bagels. They have an impressive selection, even if you show up shortly before closing time on a Saturday. They even have flagels, bialys (not sure if I spelled that correctly), baked goods, and a deli counter. We have only been there twice, so I’m sure I haven’t listed some of their offerings. Their menu is extensive, and I would say that there is something for everyone, even of its just a snack. And one more thing….the potato pancakes were to die for. Go check this place out!

This is the best bagel place I’ve found that’s as close to a NY bagel. The store has so many options and a dining area as well. I’m going to have to comeback and dine in to see how it is. I’m so glad I stopped by this gem.

Fabulous breakfast, fabulous service! I went in today with a party of four adults and an 18 month old. My husband and I split the smoked platter for two—generous portions of smoked fish with fresh and picked vegetables and bagels. The bagels, the fish, the veggies, the coffee—all were delicious. Shari served us and she was just SO attentive and thoughtful, anticipating all of our needs. When she saw the baby was getting antsy she brought us over some fresh fruit in hopes of helping us to prolong our meal and then brought an assortment of cookies before we left. I’d mentioned at the start of the meal that my son had a nut allergy, which she remembered when she selected the cookies for us. Baby loved his sugar cookie with sprinkles! Thank you Shari for the excellent service!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Strathmore Bagels & Deli in Wellington Florida, and I must say, it was an excellent experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome and a smile. The restaurant has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, and the aroma of fresh bagels and deli meats filled the air.

We are from NY, both parents born/raised Brooklyn. Bagel brunch every Sunday with the works. We used to eat at Strathmore often when we first moved here but prices have become outrageous. Good is decent but definitely not worth the exorbitant prices, long wait and rude employees. I ordered 1 BEC bagel not toasted. It was $10 and took almost 20 min, I had to ask someone to check on my sandwich. First woman ignored me when I asked and told her I’d been waiting already 15min (no one in line, maybe 3 tables in restaurant, wasn’t busy at all). Woman said annoyed oh let me check and rolled her eyes. The sandwich was okay but I’ll never go there again.

Sad to say but I think I’m done with this place. Been coming since 2003. Biggest reason is to simply protect my health. The “glass” divides are filthy, the floors and ceiling are as well. My eyes burn each time I’ve been entering the restaurant. The bowl the soup came in smelled of lemon ( matzoh ball). The hostess is an ol bat that obviously can’t stand where she works, and the waitresses, other than a few appear they’ve served time in the pen, or are impatient older woman with chips on their shoulders. Horrible mix of everything. I just can’t imagine how bad it may be behind closed doors. I enjoy their bagels, and perhaps most of the order out line/ food but inside dining couldn’t get worse all around.

Very good place. The service was awesome, and our food came out almost immediately. The bagels were really some of the best I’ve ever had, and the lox rocked. This place is great. Be sure to come here if you’re in town; I know I will next time I’m there!

Oh my goodness!! Best breakfast ever! Wish I remembered our server’s name, she was triple sat on Sat 7/22 around 8am by older hostess who could care less where she sat people (also around 50+ or so). Server was amazing, food was SO much better than TooJays, although decor was similar. We waited in line once we left dining room and got tons of bagels (also great!) to take back with us to Sarasota area . Best benedict I have had in years! Bagels great treat this past week at home. Have already recommended you to several friends living in Wellington and Boca. Obviously, your BOH knows what they are doing as well, keep up the good work, and when we are back in the area, we’re coming in!
