The cook (I’m assuming the owner) was so great. He clearly was from NOLA & came out & talked with us personally, was very sweet to our young son…& made AMAZING jambalaya! The restaurant is smaller & some areas are dated, but it’s well kept & the food was good. There are a few little arcade type claw games & also coloring books for kids, as well. The outside patio is a cute space. Service was very friendly. Would definitely return.

A very spacious and clean restaurant in a nice small town. Ice cream outside, dining inside or on a nicely lit outdoor patio. Love the patio lights and beads hanging! The Chef, Cory, was the first to greet us, and then, his waitress, Courtney. Both made us feel quite comfortable. We were offered to order from the chalk boards above the counter or a seat in the dining room with full menu and service. We chose the dining indoors, in ac, on a warm 85° day. Unfamiliar with Louisiana food, we chose a cheeseburg with fries and wings; and fried chicken with Louisana dirty rice. We were pleasantly surprised. The burger was very delicious. What a charm when Cory delivered our plates and actually brought ketchup, mustard, relish, and pickles for us to dress it up. The fries were perfectly cooked and cut similar to fresh cut fries. The onion rings were nice and crunchy outside with a nice juicy onion ring inside. The fried chicken was 2 flat 2 knob wings, with an amazing batter similar to Banquet Chicken but much better and lighter. The Louisana dirty rice was amazing! I was expecting a black and white rice mix. Nope. It was a white rice with loose hamburg and green onion tops. Very delicious! I appreciated how Cory explained that in Louisiana they usually use chicken liver, seasoned, boiled and then added to the fry mix for the rice. But; he’s found most in our area don’t care too much for the chicken liver, so he uses the loose hamburg. Small like hash texture. Thank you to Cory and Courtney for making our visit a wonderful experience. Nice people! Good Food!

Due to travel plans, I found myself in the area twice over the last month. The food and service was top notch, and I brought my friends back to the ‘Boot when we were back in the area. It’s definitely on my list when I’m in the Batavia area!

If I could give this place less than zero, I would. First Lenten Friday, we wanted a catfish dinner. Does this look like a quality catfish dinner? It’s freaking tilapia…for over $50!!!! Do yourself a favor and go to The Alabama Hotel instead

We just came across this diner while driving from Niagara Falls down to the Finger Lakes. What an absolute little gem, just what we were looking for with a snack and drink for lunch. Courtney, the waitress couldn’t have been more welcoming and quietly efficient in her serving.
