When I called to give them a heads up, the guy who answered immediately put me on hold. When he finally got back on the line, he snapped, “What do you need?” with zero professionalism. Little did I know I was going to get a pizza with a big side of attitude for no good reason. When I mentioned the pizza was cold, he talked down to me like I was the stupidest person on earth, saying “Of course it’s cold, it was delivered.”
I order from Baby Doll, Hot Lips, Blind Onion, and Stark Street all the time. They are similar distances away and manage to deliver hot food every single time. If you enjoy being treated like a jerk for pointing out a basic issue, this is your spot. I won’t be back.

I got my order and I was very disappointed by the look and how thin everything was. The ingredients were just rolling off the pizzas due to how small the ingredients were. Secondly, there was hardly any pizza sauce and the dough was beyond dry. There was barely any flavor or none at all. I feel like this pizza was already frozen since the crust was hard to bite into.
In my opinion, I do not believe this was a NEW York pizza and paid 35.00 for 7 slices. Everyone was looking forward to the pizza whom Portland constantly talks about this place and the reviews. My whole team I bought it for were all disappointed by everything and for the prices, it didn’t even serve 10 people.
I was happy to see that all the employees were masked, and that the space for visitors was well marked for customers to keep an appropriate distance from each other.
As for the pizza – it was just what I hoped for. I had a cheese slice with just the right balance between sauce and cheese, as well as a pepperoni slice that was perfectly greasy, just the way it should be. Prices were reasonable, and, though I didn’t opt for the ‘$5 slice and a beer’ special, it was great to see it available.
I’m still trying to avoid indoor spaces in general, but I’m glad to see that Straight From New York is available for pizza by the slice, while keeping the experience safe for their employees and their customers.
