The wild rice toast is phenomenal, especially if you get a side of hollandaise to dip it in! The loaded scrambler and wild rice omelette we got were also delicious. Service was great as well, especially being there during peak times! Thank you to all the staff that makes it happen!

If I could give 0, I would.
I asked if they could seat a table of 9 because I wanted to buy ice cream sundaes for all the kids (my nieces and nephews) standing behind me.
The Hostess said she didn’t know if she could do that, she will go ask.
She came back and said “Ok, we just have to put some tables together for you guys.”
So I then proceeded to ask, “If it’s too much trouble, could I just buy it like take out, and we sit on the cafe side of the restaurant because it’s empty.”
The Hostess replied that she doesn’t know and will go ask.
Then another young girl came out and said, “We don’t have enough ice cream to serve 9 people.”
And then they recommend me to walk across the casino to go check the other restaurant if they have ice cream.
I ended up leaving and having to tell the kids I couldn’t get them ice cream.
I wasn’t going to make all the kids go with across the casino with me just to have them turn us down.
I truly believe they didn’t want to serve us because we are Asian.

Terrible food, terrible service. They’re on of those restaurants that doesn’t believe it’s possible to create a meal without meat, so they don’t have a single option on their menu that is vegetarian. Not one! I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich without bacon and when it came, I took a bite and realized it didn’t have cheese either. I flagged down the waitress and told her my grilled cheese sandwich didn’t have cheese. So she brought out two raw cheese slices. I asked if it could be cooked in the bread, and she said that because I had taken a bite, this was not possible. I guess they couldn’t afford to cook two more slices of bread. She ended up going and talking to her manager, and came back out and said “since this is my fault we will replace it.” She had selected BLT without bacon. Yeah, of course it was her fault. Apparently she had originally thought it was my fault that my grilled cheese sandwich had no cheese? Absolutely won’t go back.

This was in Hinckley MN at the Stories Diner. Waited forever for a to go order then the gal told us to stand by the other counter. I stood there for ten more minutes. Then to find out there was a 15% extra charge for a to go order which I didn’t know. I asked if I sat at a table and took a note and tried to eat then could I get it to go the supervisor said I had to eat half. The supervisor Tonya could not find the sign that said there would be an extra charge. John the manager came to talk to me as I told him I wanted a to go order because I didn’t feel good otherwise I would stay and he said pay it or not I will not make an exception was cold and with a harsh voice to the point I cried. I told him I would be writing my review and he told me he did not care. Thank goodness for Katherine Who was a fabulous Waitress because they made me sit down. But then I get my order home and no ranch and blue cheese with either of my wing orders that I ordered.
Stories store owner I see you wrote back to me, but the link that you put on there does not work. When you click on it, it takes you nowhere. I highly suggest John be talked to how he is running the store and maybe a few classes and customer service would do him justice. And Tanya, the supervisor didn’t even know where the sign was that talks about the 15% ridiculous up charge for it to go order You would think you would want people to order to go because there certainly wasn’t enough staff there to take care of the tables that were there in the dining room. When I got home and saw no ranch and no blue cheese with the order of the plain chicken wings there were nine of them in there for $15.49 Was a lot to play for plain chicken wings and do few.

We had a good meal and good service. I tried the Jack Daniels mushroom pork chop and my husband the shrimp dinner. His brandy Manhattan was good( he makes a great one). They both came with Veg and potato. We both enjoyed our meal. We usually have hot turkey dinner which is always good. Felt they were keeping safe practices and as no masks that is that. Sanitizer located thru out casino.
This year we stopped for lunch and open 7am-2pm. The service was great. I had walleye breakfast and it came with hash browns, eggs & toast. My husband the hot beef sandwich (very large portion). Breakfast all day long!

Ive heard much about this diner and its tremendous food. We were seated and were forgotten about for over 45 minutes. We distracted ourselves with our phones and conversation while we waited, then decided to just leave. The restaurant floor didn’t look like it was too busy for a Saturday morning honestly.
We were not given instruction on whether we had to go somewhere to order, either. I checked for signs on our way out, didn’t see that we missed anything.

First time trying this place. Pasta wasn’t bad..just too much onions. Still very good though and very good service. Would eat here again.
