While the staff was nice and the wood fired oven was different the pizza lacked flavor. The sausage pizza was dry, bland, almost no cheese with a few thin sausage slices. The breadsticks were more like bread crackers and tomato sauce. Had the biga donut which was good but not a donut.

Great neighborhood spot! We love the appetizer sampler and their pizza with prosciutto. The sampler comes with asparagus, peppers with sausage bits and tomato sauce and bread to dip in marinara.
Indoor and outdoor seating. Indoor is better for bigger groups. There is parking but maybe not enough for every table.

Quaint spot with delicious pizza and very fresh ingredients. I loved the pistachio ice cream. The outside patio was peaceful with lots of sounds of nature. They allowed our 2 small dogs. Our server was the best.

Deserves a 10 but only five available. I discovered Stop 50 after getting through ridiculous Chicago rush hour traffic and I was looking for a nice atmosphere for a relaxing dinner on a patio.
The house salad dressing is literally the best oil/vinegar/herb dressing I have ever tasted. The salad was so fresh it could have been harvested minutes before serving, and the flavor of the wood-fired pizza was incredible!
I am planning to arrange my future travel so that I can stop for a meal at Stop 50 on every trip past Michigan City.

Every time I come to new Buffalo I see this famous pizza place right I been craving since my girlfriend is pregnant and today was the day I finally took a taste and let me tell yall that sauce taste like 10 pounds of bounce that LITERALLLYYY it taste like preggo sauce before you even add seasoning to it s very sour and they didn’t add NO TYPE OF CHEESE to it other than that the crust was the only good thing so ask for peoples left over crust .

We had an excellent experience last weekend with Riley. We were visiting from out of town and looking for a delicious meal and this place delivered and beyond. Walking in, you can’t help but notice the fresh herbs growing in the planters out front. The patio area was welcoming and comfortable, but we chose to sit inside to get a view of the pizza oven at work. Riley was great and suggested the season special – an heirloom tomato pizza with basil, walnuts, and light dressing. She made a great suggestion and swap for me and it was even better than I thought. This was a great place for date night like us, or to come with your family. We will definitely be returning!

We found this place on accident. They have awesome pizza. We had their seasonal peach pizza special and a sausage one. They were delicious. They have a good beer selection, and their gelato was also good. The service was friendly. There was a bit of a wait but totally worth it. It is handmade, after all.

5 stars is too few to convey how good the pizza and this stop is. It really is a treasure. You won’t see mention of the decades old sourdough starter used and the focus on (as much as possible) locally sourced or foraged ingredients – but one taste and you’ll understand the magic before you. Everything is made to order and wood fired oven and its use is beyond excellent!
