Definitely some of the best steak in Rocky Top Tennessee paired with a massive bar selection + impeccable service is a five star recipe! I always spend an evening here with coworkers when visiting on business. And if you enjoy dessert, the pieces are as big as your head so don’t forget to get a few steps in lol. Looking forward to cruising down the Stony River once again when I’m back.

Don’t even think about going to Tennessee without eating something smoked, grilled, or barbecued. You’ll risk getting condemned, arrested, or revoked from ever stepping foot in the state again. That’s how serious it is. I tried a few spots during our time in Nashville, but when I walked into Stoney River Steakhouse, I knew we were about to show folks what it really looks like to eat good and live better.
It started the moment I walked in, fedora on my head, white sport coat clean, my wife Angel on one arm, and my cousin on the other. We didn’t come to play. We came to show what southern dining looks like when class meets comfort and flavor meets finesse. Stoney River gave us all of that — and then some.
Look at the picture — that cowboy steak was huge, but when I was done, it looked like a chicken bone on my plate. They knew what they were doing with that cut. The smoke, the sear, the tenderness? That was a flavor sermon, and I sat through the whole thing. And the service? Let’s just say I was nodding “yes” so much that I was giving the thumbs up to staff and guests who didn’t even work there. They all wore black, so that was not my fault.
The atmosphere, the vibe, the food, and the service were all locked in. Nashville brought the hospitality, and Stoney River delivered the experience. I’m definitely coming back. This wasn’t just a meal. It was a memory.

Sad to say we had the strangest experience dining at Stoney River tonight. When we came in there was music by One Direction playing, which is odd for fine dining and does not fit the price point, clientele, or aesthetic of the restaurant. The rolls we were served were cold both time they came out. The biggest issue, I ordered the shrimp scampi and it arrived covered in spinach— it looked like a salad. In addition to the abundance of raw spinach in my pasta dish, the shrimp and pasta was Luke warm at best. Upon leaving, I made a comment that it seemed as if the parent company of Stoney River had been bought out by Private Equity, as the quality has so obviously deteriorated. I looked it up, and they sold in 2021 to a PE firm. The cost cutting is very obvious, disappointing when you are going to spend upwards of over 100 dollars on a meal for two.

1st Time. Vanderbilt won over KY next door. Place was packed. At the bar. W. Walker & team members were awesome. Service was on point & so was the food. Make a reservation. Be back.

The filet with bernaise sauce is to die for, and one of the best filets I’ve ever had. The au gratin potatoes are unique and delicious, sliced very thin and layered. We ended the meal with dessert and a cappuccino, which I was very impressed by the presentation of the cappuccino. I will definitely enjoy one after my meal every time I dine here.

Awesome atmosphere with very good service. The food was amazing! The drinks were OK, not great, but OK. Our group had the chicken, the filet medallions Oscar style, the filet and the New York strip and everyone loved their meal. The salads and the sides are amazing too! Highly recommend!

Amazing food, servers was at your tabke every few minutes to check on your needs. Atmosphere was a little underwhelming for the price of the food, tables was so close together I felt we waa eating with people on each side of us. We enjoyed the candle lit tables but It was so dim in there multiple tables had phone lights on to see the menu.
