Staff was friendly and food came out VERY fast! The boom boom shrimp was so good, I almost forgot to take a photo. I swapped normal fries for the parmesan fries and they were fantastic. A little pricey, but overall a great experience!

My husband and I decided to go here for our Valentines Day dinner. We saw a YouTube video and the food looked good. We shared an appetizer of calamari which was good. My husbands food looked good( he ordered a steak) my food looked okay until I cut into the chicken and tasted it. One bite I knew something was off and simply ate the pasta portion. We got dessert to go my husbands cheesecake was fine. My blueberry cake smelled and tasted like onions. I sincerely hope I don’t get food poisoning from this experience as I’m pregnant. Not sure why everything I ordered was off but my husband’s was fine. I don’t normally leave reviews but as nice as the atmosphere was I’m just hoping I don’t get sick but we probably won’t go back.

We were in the Harrisburg area this week for the PA farm show, and were looking for a restaurant to try while traveling around the area. We stumbled upon Stoney Creek Inn, and what an amazing dining experience it was! First of all, I am sure the scenery outside the restaurant is gorgeous in the spring, and they do offer outdoor seating for the season. Very calm, homey, laid back vibe inside the restaurant. Our waitress (and I truly apologize I can’t remember her name to acknowledge her properly) was PHENOMENAL!! She truly made the dining experience even better! My spouse ordered the tuna tacos, and they were delicious as were the ranch fries he got as a side dish. I ordered the gyro, and it was DELIGHTFUL! The meat was so tender, and it was so delicious. We got a piece of peanut butter pie to go as well, which was very tasty too. If you’re in the area, I would highly recommend stopping in for a meal. We will definitely be back next time we’re in the area.

Beautiful location by the water. Enjoyable by the water and on a sunny day. We enjoyed the outside patio and the great service. Good hamburgers and fish tacos. We loved the crab cakes.

Great place. Super attentive service and great atmosphere. Bar area is really nice. The food was good with a lot of options. They have a very good bourbon selection for the area. The deck area is pretty amazing if the weather cooperates. We’ll return.

OK, so I’m giving this place oh yeah full star rating but within the last six years, I do feel like the food wasn’t as good. I don’t know if they changed owners or if there was just an off night don’t get me wrong. It was still really good no complaints. I just know what I’m comparing their food to previously it just wasn’t what I remembered but still they are definitely five out of five through and through whether you’re going to send in the dining room and have a quiet, calm, nicer meal or go in a bar and have that kind of vibe or even when their deck is open, it’s amazing out there chill relax by the water perfect outdoor deck vibes.

Update: 4/7/24 – We stopped in for a late lunch and sat at the inside bar. I was not shocked to find that the food is just as good as it was the last time I was here. I’ve added some new pics. Very good experience.
I have been here a handful of times and the food is consistently good. In this occasion we got crab cakes with the ranch fries, a side salad (not pictured) and bacon wrapped scallops. All were delicious. The deck was still open so we sat near the dam. Definitely worth taking the drive up to Dauphin. Detweiler Park is within 5 minutes so you can go do some hiking and stop in for a meal. Service staff is always personable and accommodating. I’ve always sat on the deck, never been inside the restaurant.

They had an espresso martini drink special. We ordered 2. They didn’t taste right. Found out they accidentally used orange vodka instead of vanilla so they remade them. They were still horrible. They definitely made a cheap version of what was on their menu since it was on special. The menu lists Baileys and there was none in it. I got the spicy fried shrimp appetizer and some of the shrimp were burnt. My husband like the reuben. Our friend never got the side that came with his meal. The staff was friendly and helpful in remaking drinks, overall food and drinks were average. Idk if they have another bathroom but the one in the room by the bar is SMALL. I mean like sit on the toilet and your knees hit the door and while you’re washing your hands and someone opens the door they’ll hit you.
