This restaurant has been in Schaumburg for 21 years. I came here for a quick snack and a glass of wine, but discovered this place is outstanding! Very tasteful decor, including a stone fireplace, seating for at least 200, a well stocked bar, and friendly and courteous staff.
Our bartender, Julie, was well-informed about their offerings.

We chose here because of its location and we weren’t disappointed. For being a place in the Midwest, they have good BBQ with choices. I felt the pulled pork was just a touch bland but the sauce made up for it! I loved the atmosphere inside the Ale House and found their menu to be as expected. It was a great find for my business trip in the area!

We are inherently designed to gather around the fire, and Stonewood Ale House is a casual invite into the family room. The restaurant and bar feels warm, plays good tunes and has multiple televisions without over-dominating.
While shopping at Woodfield, we popped across the drive to a long standing local grill. The staff is pleasant and offers suggestive menu options. We ordered grilled chicken with housemade Nashville sauce, Louisiana chicken pasta is dreamy, and the ribs and crispy shrimp are the best house go-to favorites.
The salmon Ceasar salads wood-geilled with orange-ginger seasame glaze. It has crunchy romaine, croutons, and parmesan cheese. The Sante Fe chicken sandwich with Swiss cheese bacon and guacamole served with housemade kettle chips and coleslaw is super yum!
To start, order the happy hour wine or pints deal before 6pm M-F, and spinach and artichoke dip or BBQ pulled pork nachos. Burgers are great include a blend of short-rib, beef brisket and ground Chuck grilled over hickory wood. Black bean veggie burgers and turkey burger alternatives with variety of toppings on a toasted sesame bun. All served with seasoned fries. Many substitutions available with additional toppings and sauces.

We loved this place. It’s large,roomy, nearly quiet and comfortable. We were seated near the fireplace which added to the peaceful visit.
Our waitress was fantastic, seriously. The menu has many choices. The portions are plentiful and delicious. The kids menu is nice with good sized portions.

Haven’t been here in years so decided to stop in and give it a try! Beautiful and cozy atmosphere with a large fireplace! Bartender Julie was fun, helpful and super sweet and attentive to our girls day out! Burgers OMG they were the best I’ve had in a long time! Right up there with an amazing spot I go to in Wheaton! Top notch meats are used and you can tell by the flavor!

The server was very nice and the food was good, however I noticed a lot of dust on the ledges looking into the other part of the dining areas. So much dust I had to wash my hand after I ran it through to see if it was actually dust. It got me worried if the kitchen was clean. Made me question how well the dining room and kitchen are cleaned.
