Special family dinner at Stonewater Indian and it absolutely delivered.
We tried a spread of dishes and every one hit the mark.
The lime butter chicken was rich, creamy, and packed with flavour.
The London chicken tikka masala had that perfect spicy, smoky comfort.
Chicken breyani was fragrant, hearty, and properly satisfying.
And the Alleypey fish curry was the surprise favourite… warm, tangy, and full of depth.
Service was just as good as the food.
Big shoutout to Raj and the team for looking after us so well and making the night feel extra special.
If you want a proper Indian feast with great vibes and even better hospitality, this place is a winner.

My eldest son and I enjoyed a quick evening meal at Stonewater, situated at 893 Canning Hwy in Mount Pleasant.
As we found ourselves in a bustling Indian restaurant on a Tuesday night, the only Westerners in the crowd, we knew we were in for an unmissable culinary adventure. And indeed, the food was nothing short of spectacular, bursting with vibrant flavors. Our attentive waitress offered excellent recommendations that truly elevated our dining experience. We indulged in the Stonewater Tasting Plate, which included Chicken Tikka, Lasooni Prawn, Paneer Tikka, and Veg Bhaji, all of which were absolutely delightful. The Lime Butter Chicken was a highlight, featuring tender pieces of tandoori chicken tikka enveloped in a distinctive lemon and lime-infused tomato and cashew sauce. We also relished a medium Beef Vindaloo, where the spices were perfectly balanced and unforgettable. I eagerly anticipate my next visit for another amazing meal!

Went there for Sunday Lunch. Malabar Fish Curry Thali was delicious, perfect taste as in India. Garlic Naans were perfect, Paneer Butter Masala was good, service was excellent and the ambience were beautiful as well. Highly recommended!

Stonewater Indian Restaurant is a relatively new addition to the area, yet it already feels well-established. After my fifth visit, I felt it was time to share a considered review.
The food is consistently very good, full of traditional Indian flavours and clearly prepared with care. Portion sizes are sensible rather than generous, so ordering a little more than usual is a good idea—personally, I would welcome slightly larger servings.
The restaurant itself is clean, spacious, and has a pleasant atmosphere. It can become quite busy on certain days, so if you’re after a quick and relaxed meal, arriving earlier is recommended.
Service is generally good, though not always flawless. On one occasion, our rice did not arrive until we had finished our meals and were preparing to leave. On another visit, a dish was forgotten entirely yet still appeared on the bill. Once this was pointed out, it was promptly removed, and as a thoughtful gesture, the restaurant provided the dish as a complimentary takeaway. On our most recent visit, food ordering had clearly improved, although cutlery was forgotten for one of our guests.
With time and experience, I’m confident that the young service team will continue to develop their skills.
Overall, Stonewater Indian Restaurant is a very enjoyable place for authentic, traditional flavours. Once the service becomes consistently polished, it will easily deserve a full five stars. For now, the food earns high praise, with service sitting at a solid four.

I had such a lovely time. The staff were kind and attentive, the food was full of flavour and beautifully made, and the whole place had such a welcoming vibe. It felt easy to relax and enjoy. Definitely a 5 star experience all around.

My wife and I went last night and thoroughly enjoyed the service and ambiance. Despite some issues with the food, the issue was dealt with politely and without fuss. Important qualities for a fine service restaurant. The entree was a tasting plate and it was superb! Very friendly and attentive service. Will return and see if I can get this review up to a well deserved five stars.

A disappointing experience tonight at this restaurant. We ordered 6 different items but unfortunately all are cooked on the same gravy and test same! What a wastage of money and time.
