First time visitor from out of town. We absolutely LOVED the pizza!! Perfect crust. Fresh, hot. Excellent taste. Really, really outstanding.
I Googled “best pizza near me” from a gas station parking lot in Hopewell Junction. Stone’s came up about 15 mins away (in the opposite direction that I was headed) — but the website, the menu, the pictures and reviews all looked good. Called in the order… the gentleman who answered was friendly and helpful. He explained the crust differences on the different pie choices (grandma pies baked in olive oil, to a crisp). We went with The Stone with red sauce (grandma pie, *red sauce, pepperoni, mozzarella & hot honey) and extra crispy lemon pepper dry rub wings.
The wings were very good too! They came with a dipping sauce that tasted homemade and that was also VERY good. … The Stone pizza stole the show though.

Hands down the best pizza in Dutchess County. We ordered three appetizers, sampled several different slices, and finished with The Stone — pepperoni, ricotta, mozzarella, and a drizzle of hot honey. Absolute perfection. Every bite hit that balance of crispy crust, creamy cheese, and sweet heat.
The place runs like a team that cares about what they serve. Great vibe, fast service, and pizza that makes you rethink what good really tastes like. If you haven’t been to Stone’s yet, go. It’s the real deal.

All of their pizza is amazing!! Grandma pie is my favorite. Philly cheesesteak is one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Owners and staff are extremely friendly and they only use quality ingredients!!

A few things that separate Stone’s from competitors: (1) Clean ingredients, e.g., unbleached flour for the dough, so after a couple of slices you feel like you’ve just eaten something clean; (2) The pizza sauce always tastes fresh and it is both slightly sweet and tangy – very well balanced; (3) The slices that I’ve saved for leftovers are still incredibly good when reheated – as someone who seldom cooks this is an important consideration; and (4), and probably the most noteworthy, the dough is perfect. To the people who prefer a well done pizza crust and to those that don’t, when cooked, the dough allows for a crunchy crust that still remains soft on the inside – even for the thinner slices (not just the grandmas or sicilians).
I give 5 out of 5 for great tasting food, service, and atmosphere. And in a region with many pizzerias, Stone’s offers something that is unique. An all around authentic product from experienced individuals. Nice job guys!

NY style pizza par excellence! I drove 30 minutes from my home in Lagrangeville to try this pizza place I found by chance browsing Google’s recommend places list. I consider myself a pizza connoisseur and I give this place top marks. The high praise and great reviews for this place here is very much warranted. I always love restaurants with simple menus with limited selection of items they do best. The pizza has perfect (in my view) thickness and perfectly charred bottom. Also, they have spicy nduja as a topping choice which we don’t see often. Keep up the great work and I hope to see you again soon.

This is the best pizza I’ve had since leaving NYC. The crust was ideal—thin with a slight crunch. The sauce-to-cheese ratio was just right, resulting in a moist and gooey slice.
It’s a simple, no-frills pizza place with a small, focused but creative menu and a friendly, efficient staff. Free parking is plentiful in the dedicated lot. Drive carefully along Rt 9D so you don’t miss it. We will definitely be back.

Pizza was incredible, nothing beats a nice plain thin crust, the sauce was incredible, the garlic knots were to die for super soft and fluffy. On top of that they had a nice little play area for the kids which my son loved! The service was incredible ,the prices were amazing. 10/10 – definitely coming back.

My 2nd time here and still in love with the pizza. I’ve been searching for a good pizza place since moving to the Wappingers area just over 6 years ago from the City (the world’s best pizza is from NYC), and Stone’s is right up there with the best. The prices are about average for top tier gourmet pizza, and totally worth every penny. As long as they keep serving pizza, I will be going here!
