Excellent fried chicken!! Definitely on the list of bests. It was like having a chicken dinner at my Gramma house. The peanut butter pie was on the best list too.

Best food around. They have lots of good help. It is set up buffet style if you want that. You stay on one side of the glass and tell them what you want on your plate. The fried biscuits and apple butter are delicious! There homemade pies are excellent! My favorite is the chocolate pie!

If fried chicken is your thing, you can’t miss this place! The chicken is the best I’ve ever had. Not too peppery….seasoned just right. Skin is very crispy. To top it off, the fried biscuits and apple butter are amazing! The people are incredibly nice and service is superb.

This is a gem to find in the middle of almost nowhere Indiana. Most certainly take the time to visit and try the buffet. Everything everyone at the table was amazing. The fried chicken is perfectly seasoned and hot. A must is the fried biscuits and homemade apple butter. Pies? Your choice is tremendous selection. Well worth the trip from anyplace.

My work route takes me out here… hate the route but it’s worth it to have stones. I’m obviously from out of town and I’ve got long hair and it’s pretty out of place in this old school little town, not what one would think of as a hippie friendly town.. but the owner was just the absolute coolest guy I’ve ever met and made me feel so welcomed. And the fried chicken, it is legitimate to die for. You always hear places have good fried chicken and it’s usually meh. This place ACTUALLY does. I usually don’t Suggest for people to go to Indiana as a Cincinnati and but this is absolutely worth the trip and the gas

Food was great. Absolutely friendly staff. The building and atmosphere is timeless. A piece of the Heart of America. Every single person working there had a great attitude was genuinely friendly. Make sure to get pie, any pie with the word “delight” in it is awesome.

The chicken is the star of this restaurant although the country fried steak was really good too. We certainly enjoyed the buffet last Saturday and the nearly 80 mile drive was more than worth it. The salad was very fresh, the sides very tasty, and the pies were delicious. All in a quaint atmosphere. What more is there to ask?

It’s definitely a quaint little stop. We looked up restaurants while nearby and this one had decent ratings and within 30 minutes away so we chose Stone’s. Great choice! They have a dinner buffet that they serve to you (you don’t dish your own food.) During our visit they had fried chicken and country fried steak (pork tenderloin.) While no, they don’t have a million items like Golden Corral, it’s still good food and the atmosphere is great. Would recommend making the stop here!
*edit: We added dessert. Ordered peanut butter pie and butterscotch merengue pie. PHENOMENAL!!

Amazing small town restaurant! Called a few hours before going to confirm a few items on the “online” menu were still available. A gentleman that answered the phone was very pleasant and confirmed the menu item in question was available. Our first visit found us a small town Millhousen walking into great reviews and high expectations. We was immediately seated just behind the hostess stand, I was unsure of the location until we had been there just 2 minutes. Our server, Angie was quick to take orders, kept our drinks full and answered all questions. Woman at the register checked on us a few times and allowed me to walk around and take photos before they got too busy. Reservations are recommended on weekend evenings but not required. Several dining rooms, bar seating and even tables by the pool. Home cooked food in small town family atmosphere. Home made pie (Butterscotch) was amazing! Highly recommended!
