I dropped in for lunch on a Friday, and it was packed. That’s usually a good sign that you’ve picked a solid lunch spot. In a town like Escanaba, your options are going to be limited, and I was pleased with the quickness in which I was seated and served. My server didn’t lead my wrong with the tempura battered asparagus appetizer recommendation, and the Friday lunch special of fish tacos was good too (though they could leave off the shredded cheddar). All in all, a solid find, good eats, friendly “yooper” service, and a not unreasonable price.

A MUST stop for anyone who loves an old fashioned supper club. The staff is amongst the best I have ever experienced. The food was over the top good, and EVERYONE is beyond friendly! We HIGHLY recommend you stop EVERY time you are even remotely in the area!!!

Atmosphere was cozy and clean. Service was attentive and prompt. For example they offered to fill coffees and waters on regular basis. The bread was so delicious served with whipped butter (extremely nice touch). We had the house salad which was a very tasty strawberry and almond salad with vinaigrette. The only improvement for me would be goat cheese instead of mozzarella. The broiled whiteish was cooked perfectly and we ordered the vegetable of the day which very nice blend of cooked veggies (carrots, broccoli ,green beans) in an herbed butter. The coffee was very good as well. I wish we had saved room for dessert.

We went for the first time ever at lunch. We had the broiled whitefish, salad, and rice pilaf and the bbq ribs, fries, and chicken pot pie soup. The whitefish was perfect and came out served nice and hot, which is important when getting this type of fish for sure. The ribs were good with a tasty flavor of bbq sauce. Waitress was friendly and spot on sharp. The place was hopping busy at 1:30 pm. Well managed and very friendly. Clean interior, nice half wrap around bar with peaceful lighting. Next time we will go for the supper menu. I attached some photos. Try this place out, you will like it.

Haven’t been to the Stonehouse for a couple years and it was just as good as I remembered! I ordered the lake perch with the gourmet mac and cheese on the side and it was delicious! Service was great and I enjoyed the wine selection as well. It can be a bit of a wait to get seated if they are busy, but thankfully we arrived at a time where we only had to wait about 10 minutes before getting seated.

Oh my where do I start!!! We got the Spinach Salad YUM!! followed with the Baked Brie oh my so delicious! I would of been fine if the dinner stopped there! I had the 4oz filet my daughter had the seafood dish and the husband’s had the 10 oz prime rib. Followed by cheesecake for 3 of us. Sadly they ran out of Creme Brulee for me but my tummy was still very happy. Little on the pricey side but I will return!

For starters we ordered the fried goat cheese and had the bacon spinach salad. The fried goat cheese was creative and unique. We absolutely loved it 5/5

For entrees I ordered the medallions au pouvre and my wife got the prime rib. Both were very good. She got hers with whipped garlic mashers which is what mine came with. Both were 5/5

Came to town to visit a friend, and we went to dinner. We sat at the bar, and our server was friendly and quick. Drinks were delicious. I had a margarita (ok, maybe 2). I ordered the Atlantic Red Salmon blackened with a spinich salad, twice baked potato, and a side of the 7 pepper Brussel sprouts (part of the night’s special) I also ordered the cheese cake to go. wow, absolutely delicious. If you happen to be in Escanaba for lunch or dinner, I highly recommend stopping for a bite. This is a must on your travels across the U.P.
