Pleasantly delighted at dinner here. Fish quality is good, albeit the variety is not as wide as I’m used to on the west coast. The execution on everything was great though!
The tempura was nice and light. The rolls were a great size and didn’t feel skimpy. The flavors for the rolls were good.
I would recommend if you want Japanese food I’m the area.

We love traveling and trying new restaurants. The food was beautifully plated. Food taste is okay. The gf calamari was a pleasant surprise. Servers were kind of haughty, which was really odd. The coffee was instant, blech. The atmosphere was very cool.

We were visiting from out of town and picked via reviews. We decided on a special, a sushi roll on a fried rice cake that was the most delicious roll we had ever had, did not need soy sauce. The sauces, the crispy rice, no seaweed paper was a mouthful of deliciousness. An inspired roll from the chef. We also shared the Phat bowl with veggies and noodles. So so good. Can’t wait to go back tomorrow night.

Absolutely incredible, highly recommend. We were passing through and food options were limited on New years day. So grateful this place was open, its a culinary delight. The fish was fresh and the dishes were incredibly flavorful. I wish we lived closer because we would definetly be regulars!

The food was delicious—every dish was delicious and well prepared and beautifully presented. Our server, Lewis, was phenomenal! He was kind, respectful, courteous, and incredibly helpful throughout our meal. He made us feel truly welcomed and taken care of. We’ll definitely be coming back—highly recommend!

Octoberfest roll was great! Sashimi presentation was great but we didn’t know it doesn’t come with rice. So we thought it was a garnish since it was so small. Some places serve it with plain white rice and some don’t. The “waiter”/bartender did not greet us, did not check on us, we had to ask for refills and think he didn’t give us the dinner menu because we didn’t know they had other choices then just sushi. The other female waitresses didn’t check on us either. It was not a good experience because of the service but the food was excellent.

Recently moved back to Cortez. This is my 3rd time ordering lunch for pick up. I had the Salmon Protein Bowl. It was delicious. Generous serving and they do not skip out on the sauce.
Today Luis assisted me and considering I have ordered lunch from here more than once—He was the first server to share the STONEFISH SUSHI LOYALTY LUNCH CARD with me. He also educated me on how and when to use it. “Buy 6 lunch entrees from the lunch menu and the 7th is Free.” Luis also packed chop sticks and soy sauce for me. This also had not been done in the past. Definitely noticed his attention to detail.
It was disheartening it took three trips to learn about the Loyalty Card. However, the food was delicious all of those previous times. I would be 1/2 to my loyalty reward. This is more of a front end training opportunity rather than food quality/service.
I highly recommend and looking forward to additional meals here.

One of the best meals I’ve had this year.
The brussels sprout chips were so delicious I think they could win over a few haters. Seaweed salad was delicious as was the Yuzu martini. I also had the spider roll and the crab was fried to perfection. This place has something a little special going on. Highly recommend.

Stopped here after being in the mountains for a week. Wow! The food was amazing. I ordered the Shrimp TNT roll just to try something new. I was not disappointed. It was a little spicy, but the flavors were intense and absolutely delicious.
Prices are a little steep, but what isn’t these days? I just ordered the one item and it was plenty.
My friend ordered the rainbow roll and liked it as well.
Service was OK at the bar. A little more attention would have been appreciated as they weren’t that busy, but they were talking with someone about working there so no worries.
It’s definitely a cool place and probably the best place to eat in Cortez. Not a ton of good options in town.
