First time eating here. New local spot definitely worth checking out and we will be back for sure. We came for their Sunday brunch but I am looking forward to trying their dinner menu. Great food and service. A good cocktail selection. I had the smoked old fashioned, it was very good. My wife had a mimosa. The braised short ribs with mashed potatoes was excellent and flavorful. The Caesar salad was good also. My wife had the omelet and breakfast potatoes. She said it was good. The restaurant had adequate parking and was easy to find.

Came here on 2/27/26 around 4:05 pm. There were maybe 2 other patrons there, besides my table of about 7/8 ppl. I had my 6 year old. They had a dinner menu and a QR code for a lunch menu on the table. The lunch menu said lunch stopped at 4, but he told one of the people in my party that they are good to still order lunch. My son wanted cheese pizza and I wanted the berry shortcake. A few minutes after we ordered, server (Deontay) said they didn’t have the cake and the pizza is on the dinner menu. My son cried. A couple minutes later Deontay said they can make the pizza. This is about 4:15/4:20. After constantly asking, and everybody at our table eating their full meal, my son’s pizza came around 5:15. Around 4:50, I was told the dinner chef just got there and the lunch chef didn’t know how to make the pizza. Who can’t make pizza? Presentation was atrocious. I’m giving them ANY stars because Deontay was a good server, but I will never be back here.

I ordered the wings and waffles, and they were absolutely delicious. The wings were flavorful and cooked just right, and the waffles paired perfectly with them — crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The sweet and savory combination was spot on.
What really stood out to me was the overall vibe. The staff was friendly, the service was attentive, and you can tell a lot of thought has gone into creating a place where people can come together and enjoy great food and good company.
If you’re looking for a new spot in North County with great food, a great atmosphere, and quality service, I definitely recommend checking out Stone X Steel. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu.

A fantastic update to the space and the first visit for brunch the food was on point. I uploaded the brunch menu and they keep it manageable for volume but enough options. The speciality drink menu has a nice selection. Thefe is another side with a smaller bar and the updated patio looks great for next spring. The bar is bright and has plenty of seats. There is a late night menu as well I will upload. The food quality was enjoyed by the entire table and our waitress was attentive. I saw some other drinks going out that looked good like a mimosa tower.

The owners were incredibly accommodating, personally stopping by our table to ensure we enjoyed each course. We were treated to a four-course experience—from appetizers to desserts—beautifully paired with drinks and wine. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor.
I later returned for brunch shortly after they officially opened, and once again, the level of care and attention was outstanding. Seeing the owner present and engaged, making sure everything was just right, really speaks to the pride they take in their establishment.

I booked a reservation for my wife and me, and from the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the owners—it honestly felt like arriving at a family gathering. We were seated right away, and the candlelit table set the perfect romantic mood.
Our waitress took our drink orders and came back quickly, then got our food order in with no rush. While we waited, it felt like we were just enjoying a cozy date night at home.
