I don’t know how this place stays in business. I’m writing this review after giving the place many chances over the last year. They are always understaffed, often running the whole place with ONE single person taking orders, cooking, serving and cleaning. It’s ridiculous. A simple order for 2 people always takes at least 20 if not 30-40 minutes, and often has at least one thing wrong or missing. They bring you one small plastic cup of syrup for 2 huge pancakes. They never bring your silverware with the food, they always have to go back for it. Things like that, every single time. Their self-serve house coffee is always out or running so low you’re pumping the carafe for dregs. And to top it all off, they act like they’re doing you a favor for all of this.

It was the cashier’s first day on the job. No one was there except her and the guy cooking. She was doing the best she could but was having trouble with the pos system. It took her a long time to take the order. There were 5 people in out group. Two people’s orders came out, and then a group of 6 or 7 college students came in for specialty coffees, which the new lady didn’t, know how to make. The cook had to come out to make them. 2 hours after I ordered I got my food after everyone in our group had finished eating. The staff was doing a great job. The low rating was on the management for their poor judgement in leaving inadequate staff working ( I was trying to cancel my order, but I knew that he had just started on it, and as I said, they were doing their best ) we were only customers until the college group came in

They were out of multiple things at 12:00 on a Friday afternoon so it really limited our options. The salad was incredibly small for $13 and the size of the side order of pasta salad was disappointing. My nieces order was also wrong. The girl at the cash register was friendly and that was what I would consider a bright spot. The ambiance is also pleasant. Maybe better for just grabbing coffee and visiting.

I enjoyed a great three meat Italian sandwich with a salad for lunch today! The dressing was nothing short of amazing and the spinach, olives and cucumbers were fresh and refreshing! There is outdoor sitting and enough space inside for plenty. I did not try any dessert options because I stuffed myself but rest assured I will be back! If you are looking for a great lunch, dessert or coffee option, definitely try the Stone House Kitchen!!!

I stopped for a late mini lunch/afternoon snack at Stone House Kitchen, today. The cold air-conditioning, spotless ladies restroom, clean dining room, attractive decor, soft music and attentive service made for a fantastic experience. I am shopping in downtown Nacogdoches alone this afternoon, and I feel totally comfortable sitting at a table by myself in Stone House Kitchen. There is parallel parking all along the streets, of downtown Nacogdoches. This area, with its old brick streets, is well-lit and clean. I enjoyed my iced brown sugar shaken espresso and a fresh, warm Heath pastry very much! Recommended!

This place is a hidden gem downtown that I’m ashamed I’ve only now darkened its doors. The food is superb and the atmosphere, same. For those bitter hearts posting one-star reviews, complaining about the wait for coffee, well, whatever you get here is well worth the wait, and I’d swear on a stack of good books to affirm as much.

We stopped for lunch at Stone House Kitchen yesterday. The food was very good, the restaurant was comfortable and the restrooms were clean. Also, there appears to be games available at the front of the restaurant for customer use. I would definitely eat here again.

But found this great location in downtown Nacogdoches which was great. Broccoli and Cheese soup was tasty. The breakfast panini was very good. Give it a try! You won’t be disappointed!
