Nothing less than a five star establishment in my opinion. We have eaten here many times over the past 20 years. Always my first choice for a special occasion, a get together with friends or a romantic dinner for two. A fireplace in the bar area is always welcome on a chilly night when meeting for cocktails. Yes the dining room is lovely, the menu offerings are both varied and delicious and the staff is attentive. I also think it important to mention that the owners are local and invested in the community. As part of a fundraising event for the EQ Historical Society many years ago I helped to organize a house tour and Stone Creek offered a wonderful luncheon for ticket holders as an option at a reasonable price. Needless to say, it was a giant success! They also offer prix fixe menus and participate in Restaurant Week, which is an opportune time to visit the restaurant.

Truly some of the best food and service on the east end.

A fantastic fine dining experience. Food and service are top notch. For appetizers, we had fresh ceviche and a beautifully prepared lobster salad. The striped bass and porchetta (pictured) were delicious. My folks even paid the bill. A great night indeed!

We have been going to Stone Creek for more than ten years, a few times a year. Our experience has been great — until now. Yes my wife’s Kir Royale was perfect, and yes, my sidecar was crafted as I requested. Yes, the tuna tartare appetizer was wonderful, consistent as usual, and yes, the arugula, beet and goat cheese salad was very good with a salad dressing that was pure art. From there it was similar to a downhill ski race. My wife had the scallops and I had the veal chop. Her dish, which could have been bright and light was way over done with an abundance of cherry tomatoes, butter and overcooked farro that made the dish unnecessarily acidic, heavy, and gluey, the way an amateur would make it, not a chef. My veal chop, priced at $63.00, was a single rib unevenly butchered in a wedge shape (not the traditional double rib and cut to an even thickness), decreasing the volume of the cut considerably and making it impossible to cook at a consistent temperature. The result was that the texture of the veal was disappointing and chewy. This was not executed to the Stone Creek standard at all. All of this left us with the question, what the heck is going on in the kitchen and who is managing the cooks who provided this poor performance? The beignets for dessert helped to sweeten our experience, but we still left feeling sad for this Hampton Bays institution. Will we return? You do not dispense with an old friend if he forgets to call you on your birthday. We will be back, and we will not order the scallops or the veal.

My husband and I had the most delicious dinner here! We sat in the tent and the ambiance was wonderful during sunset. We got the lamb chops and duck and would recommend them both!

Marvelous food and atmosphere, definitely one of the very few true 5-star dining experiences in the area. Although listed as a French restaurant by “G” it’s really not, the menu is an assorted American with everything from lobster to pasta with osso-bucca ragu to filet mignon. Each dish is carefully thought out and made to order, and beautifully presented and served by an abundance of attentive staff. There are daily specials which include things like clams casino or the fish of the day. There is also a full array of cocktails and wine to compliment any of your meal choices, and valet parking caps the experience as luxurious. Highly recommended, you will love it.

Amazing food and excellent service in an intimate setting; the seafood salad was delicate and light but also incredibly filling. High quality fish poached perfectly and paired with just the right amount of lemon and caviar. The star of the show, however, was the roasted venison with spinach, chestnut, and spatzel; venison was cooked to a perfect medium rare and was tender and flavorful. If you’re looking for fine French inspired cuisine on Long Island, Stone Creek Inn is not to be missed. The staff was also very friendly and attentive to our needs. Five stars for this wonderful experience.

SUPERB in every way. We have been to the Stone Creek Inn many times over the years and it never disappoints. In fact, it has only gotten better. The service is friendly and professional, the food is exceptional and the atmosphere is lovely. Overall, the quality is what one might expect in a top Michelin-star restaurant. In my opinion, it is easily the best restaurant in eastern Long Island.
