Don’t let the corporate happy hour vibe fool you – this place has fantastic food. The menu offers a variety of options for any taste, and everything we had was cooked to perfection. I can personally recommend the octopus, scallops, and New York strip as great options. The service was friendly and extremely fast.

The inside is pretty contemporary. I was expecting a more rustic feel and think the vibe would be better with less contemporary. Went here before a play, waiter asked us our theater time and did everything to make sure we were served and out on time. The specialty drinks were great. The food was just so so. The lamb chops, while being an excellent tender cut of meat did not taste like lamb at all. You would swear it was beef. Not what I want out of lamb. The chicken Kiev, a bit tasteless as well. The spicy fried potatoes were excellent. Think I would go back just for that. Two rounds of drinks and 2 meals comes in about $110.

I had such a wonderful time at Stock and Ledger, our server William took a good care of us. It is such a simply dishes with an elegant flavors. They also have a cute indoor patio in the atrium that you can sit for all four season. Make sure you try Artichoke Fritto Misto (bite with drink ), Grilled Octopus, and Mussels. Also the drinks are fun and tasty. I like Harvest Nectar, and Alliumette.

A little pricy but straight forward, good food. I thought the fries were the perfect size and texture; loved that the skins were still on. The shrimp tempura also was great. A lot of good selections for fish and beef.

First of all the service. Excellent, no less. Staff really makes you feel at home, friendly and professional. The space is nice, simply designed with good taste. Food: lamb is nothing short but excellent, the dish is served with falafel, not only a great conbination but also one of the best falafels in Chicago. Try it out. Walleye fish well made, gentle and tender, excellent as well. I can also recommend the espresso. The only possible downside is the accoustics, you do hear all the conversations at the tables around, but it seems to be a part of the general atmosphere of the place. Bottom line – recommended for sure.

The service was friendly, the lunch atmosphere is relaxing and professional, and they even had pretty good bgm. I ordered the French Breasted Chicken, which was outstanding, and then had the creme brulee for dessert.

Service was excellent, and the food was tasty! Our entrees were a bit salty for my taste, but overall great experience here!

Ate here for lunch this week. Great service from the moment I walked in. Very attentive and warm hospitality. We got to sit in the “Chef’s Library” – beautifully decorated with vintage kitchenware and flowers. The Grilled Caesar salad had quite the presentation to it. I had the Lamb Kafta Coca.. the tahini yogurt sauces made it! Our vegetarian friend even had multiple options to choose from. She said the falafel was some of the best she’s had. Will definitely be back for more.

Good service. Excellent food. Generous vegetables on each entree, and good portion sizes. The only thing to improve is the volume of the music, but they lowered that after happy hour was over.

A Great spot downtown Chicago for a work lunch. Conveniently located; especially if you have to be in court at the Daley Center.
The food was good and there were some nice healthy options. The Harvest Bowl (brown rice, veggies, etc) with an added protein is fantastic. Also liked the chicken soup.

I recommend Stock and Ledger.
