Reviews
NOW in 2025 in the new location, my friend wanted to surprise me on my birthday and take me here to try again, this time for HH. My friend made reservations on OpenTable. We arrived when HH started, which was 2:30 on a Sunday only in the bar area. Upon arrival the hostess greeted us and wished me a Happy Birthday. We sat at the bar where Bri had made my Birthday feel very special. She was so nice, friendly and really put in the effort in to being so attentive. I indulged in my favorite cocktail, a Cosmopolitan which she made exactly how I like it. She made my friend slightly dirty Martini’s perfectly. We indulged in several HH menu items: Oysters, Shrimp Cocktail, Steak Frites, Cheeseburger and Beef Tartare. All the dishes were well presented and tasted great and for the HH price, you didn’t feel you were breaking the bank LOL.
STK should give my friend Kiddos for making me try a 2nd time, because it did not disappoint. Thank you Bri for the enjoyable relaxing afternoon at the bar.
Atmosphere : excellent. Food: HH excellent. Service: excellent.
The first round of steaks had weak, uneven sears and were dry — the only thing making mine look remotely juicy was the butter melting on top. Out of four of us at the table, three steaks were poorly executed. We did complain, and to their credit, the manager was polite and comped a few drinks.
Unfortunately, the replacement steaks were even worse. Mine came out dramatically undercooked with an even weaker sear than the first attempt. By the time the “corrected” steaks arrived, our sides were ice cold. At that point, I didn’t bother sending it back again because I had completely lost confidence they could get it right.
Service was also slow throughout the night. Our server mentioned someone had called out and he was covering more tables than usual, which I understand — but at this price point, operational issues shouldn’t fall on the guest.
For a restaurant positioning itself as a high-end steakhouse, this was unacceptable. The manager was kind, but a few drinks doesn’t fix fundamentally poor food execution. I would not recommend and won’t be returning.
For the price and reputation, I expected professionalism and some level of hospitality. Instead, it felt rushed, inattentive, and completely out of touch with what a premium steakhouse experience should be.
Would not recommend.
It’s not everyday you go to a place with so much intentionality and professionalism. We were sold before the steaks even came out… that is art in motion. The Attentive staff supplied all our specific requests and even gifted us a free round of shots! This is an institution that seems like they plan to stick around for a long long time and by the looks of it, they are well on their way.
Also, I almost forgot… Amber!! A kind, amiable, and well versed waitress of the highest caliber. She made the experience truly memorable.
Come for the Steak, but stay for the human experience. This is what coming to STK is.
A true culinary exposé.
See you in Cali
(Ps forgot to take a photo of the food so here is a picture of their delicious water)
