We had an amazing lunch recently at Stir- highly recommend you order the smash burger. The cocktail drinks are delicious. Stir also changes their menu depending on the season. Great spot to go before exploring the museum.

We had reservations for a Friday at 5:15…not needed, it wasn’t crowded. The menu is limited, but we really enjoyed what we ordered. I had a strawberry cocktail, the smashed burger and fries. Yum. It was nice to eat right there in the museum and then enjoy the Friday night music and art.

When I found out about this restaurant in the art museum, I immediately assumed that it was going to be overpriced and mediocre. A tourist trap, right? But I went for Sunday brunch anyway.
I was completely wrong and their food and service blew me away. Their biscuits are crispy but not dry, with delicious herbal flavors that make them special. The crab cakes were entirely made of crab meat—not filled with bunch of other things. The texture was wonderful as well. The pancakes were so soft and perfectly cooked as well.
With big marble tables, comfortable chairs, and fantastic architecture, my Sunday brunch was a wonderful experience. The plates and cups, the plating, presentation, were all really great and fitting for the museum.
While not the cheapest place, this place is a great bang for your buck. And just delicious.

Our party had the Shape of Time special that complements the Korean art exhibition. Chef Rhee served each plate himself and explained each course thoroughly. Each dish was the perfect representation of the old and the new in my opinion.
The whole meal was very enjoyable. The only thing that I wish I would have known was how the museum security guards rush everyone out of the restaurant around 8:45 pm. If I had known that was going to be the case, I would have made my reservation to be before 7 pm.

Second time here with my sister. Reservation recommended esp weekend. Bit pricey for foods but perfect size and flavor amazing and service good. With out of this world banana bread dessert. I do wish they had more selection of foods, including drinks which they didn’t have today, would have been nice because celebrated late birthday.

Make reservations for when your visit the Phila. Museum of Art and dine at Stir Restaurant as we did. It was a pleasant surprise to have had a delicious late lunch and a yummy cocktail, too. Wonderful hostess who was so helpful as Open Table had not alerted me there was a table ready. Our server was very pleasant explaining some of the Korean inspired dish ingrediants. Selections included: Earl Grey Martini (a must if you love a great cocktail); Love City Lager; Celeriac that was perfectly braised in a sauce so divine we dipped the fries them into it afterwards. Should have ordered a roll to do this as it was a shame not to be able to enjoy every drop of it, or at least had a spoon. Bravo Chef Rhee. PMA Dry Aged Farm Stand Burger with onion jam, Lancaster cheddar, bacon. Had the best bite of a great tasting burger. Well done Stir.

Restaurant in the Philadelphia Art Museum.
(You must have tickets to be in the museum. Also, they require a reservation which was easy and we made right when we got there.)
We opted for the served, sit down restaurant over the museum Cafe. Totally worth it. The bread is…holy moley (eat it). The burger was honestly FANTASTIC. The Stir Chopped salad was mediocre so maybe add a protein to zhuzh up the salad. At the end, they surprise you with a pine nut almond cookie which was chewy and delectable.
Can’t wait to come back just to eat here.

Enjoyed an early dinner while visiting last month. The food was beautifully presented and equally good. We enjoyed a tuna tartar appetizer and savory lemon pasta.

We visited twice – for the Korean tasting menu, and for simple hamburgers. The tasting menu is a true discovery. Just excellent. We also liked the burger very much. It’s very juicy. The service is attentive and very friendly. We will come again.

Very friendly staff. Dined here twice while visiting the museum. The rolls they give you are out of this world. Had the grilled chicken sandwich and fries on the first visit. The second visit I had the chopped salad with chicken. Both meals were very good and very fresh. Definitely worth checking this place out.
