Food was typical airport food. I had the teriyaki burger which was good. The drinks were fantastic. Get the macadamia nut espresso martini and any other cocktail that strikes your fancy. What really made the experience that much better was the staff. Our waitress/bartender was non-stop, but always made sure to check on us. Great place to stop and unwind before your flight.

My gang and I popped in for a pre-flight cocktail. While there are two other restaurants in the terminal, I chose this one as it’s open-air and just looked cooler overall. Plus, it wasn’t occupied.
ATMOSPHERE:
The small HMS Host-operated bar is located inside the Lihue Airport terminal but outside of the secured areas. A huge skylight ceiling lets in lots of natural light over the bar top and most of the restaurant. Seating is bar stools and high tops. A single TV or people-watching can keep you entertained.

SERVICE:
It was shift change so we were served by two different female bartenders, both of whom were quiet but friendly.
OVERALL:
Mellow ambiance, fair prices.

I fly out of here regularly and the male bartender is terrible… He can not multitask and is stressed to the max at all times. He didn’t even know how to make a mimosa with pineapple juice. Each person that came in he took min of 10 minutes to serve which I was fine with I patiently waited my turn… when I tried to order he said he didn’t know how to make that and I said champagne and pineapple juice and he said ya I don’t know how and then went to take someone else’s order.
FYI YOU DONT HAVE TO GO HERE….THE BAR NEXT TO STARBUCKS HAS AC AND THEIR BARTENDER IS THW SWEETEST. She was packed and everyone was served and happy.

Banging Bloody Mary’s, super friendly and helpful staff and amazing house burger. Don’t let previous bad reviews put you off, this place is awesome. Plus there’s PowerPoints to charge and bag hooks plus cool decor. Also the bar girl caught a bird and freed it outside again

The waitress was nice but probably overwhelmed and slammed. It was packed. It appeared she was a one woman operation out front. Forgot drink orders and then came with incorrect order. She was Happy to correct. Drinks were pricey and not good. Food was average fried airport grub.

If I could’ve given the bartender a zero stars I would have . The bartender was the rudest person and should not be in the customer service industry. This is my second encounter with him and neither time was pleasant. That’s why I’m leaving a review so others will know if Erik is working, go on to the next option

Get here before 5PM, because it’s busy. Most other restaurants in the airport close around 4 so this spot gets busy quickly! However, we’re leaving from vacation here in Kauai and sampled many Pina Coladas…these Pina Coladas are the best we’ve had. The bartender/server is an all star at getting to everyone. It may take 5-10 minutes to be served, but the vibes are good. Get here at a good time and it’s a nice place to sip and wait for take off ✨

This was the only place open in the airport serving drinks on a Wednesday afternoon. A long line of over a dozen people waited out the door when we arrived, none socially distancing. Slow service to seat people after people left. Lots of beers on the menu was not available. No hoppy beers at all, no IPAs. They could only make one of their 2 signature drinks on the menu, & not properly because their blender was taken away. Their was no citrus juicer, so all citrus was squeezed in her hands that had just counted cash & wiped up the counter. The bartender was distracted by drink recipes she didn’t know & the incompetence of the new employee in training with no bar tending experience. Wait times for acknowledgment, seating, orders, drinks or getting your bill ranged from 5-10-15 minutes. Some patrons came & went without ever being acknowledged or served. French fries were soggy & undercooked. Burger was served on a soggy bun. Boneless wings were a step down from McNuggets. Lots of unvaccinated patrons as per the patrons themselves, some who had had COVID-19 & refused to get vaccinated. Burger, nuggets, fries, & 4 drinks for $95+ tip. This place is a health hazard.
