We shared the petite cold tower, the dumplings, wedge, and really enjoyed the caviar service. It was served in its original tin and not in a bowl (like some places do, I always frown upon that). The chablis was delicious and my husband enjoyed the side car cocktail.
This restaurant is great for special celebrations as well as dinner out with friends or family.
I highly recommend it.
Right to the good stuff, the quality of the steak is just unbeatable. If you didn’t know, the Harwood Hospitality Group has its own ranch in Texas with their own cows… that are brought up, for their restaurants. That is one of the many reasons I love Texas and I love Stillwell’s.
I know a good steak. I lived in Florence Italy for 4 months, where they are known for their Florentine Steak. This steak is hands down the best steak I have ever had, and I have 24 years of evidence to back that! I cannot wait to come back!
Every dish was thoughtfully executed, from the pull-apart bread and beef dumplings to the steak and lobster tail. The cinnamon roll with ice cream was a standout, both inventive and memorable, especially with the story behind it. A visit from the general manager added a personal touch that doesn’t go unnoticed.
A Michelin star well earned. Service, hospitality, and execution at the highest level.
One mistake I made was ordering two sides — honestly, one side is more than enough because the steak portion is quite satisfying. Also, they serve a loaf of hot bread as soon as you’re seated, and it’s out of this world. Between the bread, steak, and sides, the meal becomes very hearty.
Overall, the food quality and overall dining experience were top-notch. I would definitely love to visit again.
They start you off right — champagne in the hotel before you even head up to the 7th floor. Nice touch.
Highlights:
• Old Fashioned – strong, balanced, no nonsense.
• Dumplings – good but steak tartare for the win.
• Caviar- yes!!!
• Delmonico steaks – cooked perfectly. Add-ons are worth it: truffle butter (absolutely), blue cheese, and the voodoo peppercorn (great kick, a little spicy but in a good way).
• Lobster bisque – tons of lobster, thinner broth, flavorful. One of our guests said it was the best they’ve had if you’re looking for the amount of lobster.
• Creamed corn + lobster mac – crowd favorites.
The blue cheese salad was a sleeper hit — thinly layered so you’re not sawing through a brick of lettuce. Small detail, big win.
Desserts were next level: • Cheesecake with baked apple cobbler topping (I heard “best ever” from my dining partners… and no they wouldn’t even share they liked so much). He said if you only come here for the cheesecake, you’ll be happy.
• Peanut bar — fantastic!!!
• Key lime pie — bright and a perfect surprise finish.
And our waiter, Carlos? Elite. Attentive without hovering, knowledgeable, and somehow appeared the second you needed something. It was like if you thought it, he knew it. Excellent. The whole team checked in — seamless service all night.
Fun, fabulous food, great vibe. Highly recommend — and sit in the bar. And, apparently get the cheesecake too.
The steak was rare, instead of medium rare, but the salad was excellent and the lobster bisque was great and presented very nicely. I really enjoyed the bread as well, the sides were just fine.
The dessert portions were absolutely ridiculous! Not my favorite cheesecake or chocolate cake, so I think there’s room for improvement there.
From the place settings to the linen tablecloths and napkins to the tuxedoed service, everything felt intentional and impeccably curated. Service was formal in the best way–they even served from the proper side each time. The attention to detail was next-level, down to removing the seeds from the lemon slices.
This is truly a meat lover’s paradise. No part of the cow goes to waste. Portions are generous, and even ordering only appetizers felt like a full four-course meal. The crab bake was a huge mound of fresh, buttery crab–absolutely delicious. The pork belly over grits was an excellent pairing; the grits were fluffy, creamy, and melted on the plate, while the pork belly was rich and flavorful. The bone marrow dish missed the mark for me–it arrived as a bone filled with shredded beef mixed with marrow and topped with scrambled eggs, but I was hoping for traditional marrow and bread.
And the bread–fluffy, soft, and paired with incredible butter. Pace yourself. The true standout was the beef dumplings. The gravy was so good I shamelessly used the bread to soak up every last drop and nearly licked the bowl.
Tomas took exceptional care of us. I stepped away for what turned into an impromptu restroom photo shoot and returned to find him waiting patiently at my seat (!!), my napkin perfectly refolded and placed back in my lap once I sat. That level of service says everything. The night ended perfectly with a decadent, moist chocolate cake for my daughter’s birthday. When the check arrived, we were treated to chocolate-caramel candies that actually contain bone marrow–proof that no part of the cow goes to waste.
We loved the experience and can’t wait to return.
honestly it was worth every bite! From the starters to the steak and that final dessert, everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The service was impeccable , Thomas was AMAZING ❤️ he pays attention to every detail and made my husband feel very special in his birthday ❤️ everyone there is very nice❤️
and the whole vibe of the place felt special without being pretentious. Definitely one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Dallas — can’t wait to go back
