Welcome to Stillwater, a Marin County gem that opened its doors in the heart of Fairfax in 2020. This inviting – dimly lit and uniquely designed spot offers a delightful experience with an emphasis on fresh seafood and vibrant flavors. A highly praised cocktail program, natural wines, and fresh beers alongside an enticing menu featuring everything from succulent oysters to crisp salads and quite possibly the best fried chicken sandwich, ever. Relax on their sunny patio, find a comfortable seat inside, or enjoy the lively atmosphere of the front street parklet.

Had dinner at Stillwater and it did not disappoint! The seasonal menu is creative and everything felt fresh and flavorful. Tried the roasted vegetables and duck, both cooked perfectly and beautifully presented. The service was warm and attentive without being pushy. Cozy, modern vibe that makes it a great spot for a night out. Definitely adding this to my go-to list in Fairfax!

This is really more a bar with food, rather than a restaurant. The atmosphere is funny and lively with loud music playing. Seating is bar-like and spartan. Service was friendly and nice.
I thought the food was fair and, while generally not expensive, dishes were very small. The garlicy noodles was in a tiny bowl, that was just noodles, butter and garlic. Why so small? No idea.
Entrees are uninspired with a burger, fried chicken sandwich and scallops.

My family and I enjoyed dinner and cocktails here at Stillwater. They have $2 oysters on Tuesday nights. The food was superb, service was excellent and the ambience was very nice. The GM helped serve our table, he was very knowledgeable about the food and easily assisted those that had food allergies. Wish I lived in the area so I could come more often.

One of the best bar/restaurants in town; dimly lit, great local vibe; Eli especially makes spectacular cocktails. We had just happened by after supper at twilight on a Sunday; mezcal, whiskey, duck tacos, oh and the churros! all great.

My guy Manny!!! Great bar tender, perfect cocktail, just the right amount of conversation and brings life to the entire bar. Would definitely recommend for taking the edge off after a long day of works hard.
Super clean, welcoming and comforting atmosphere!

Needed a place to hit up during our stay in Cali. Since we had an Air BnB in Fairfax we seen this spot that had oysters that we been dying for. They did not disappoint! We ended up coming here twice during our trip and pretty much got the same thing for food (oysters and fries) and just mixed it up with the drinks. The staff is great and everything was superb! The vinegar/wine sauce for the oysters was absolutely on point! Fries were fresh and great! The ambiance is nice and chill! Would definitely come back if we are in the area and would absolutely recommend. I think we ended up getting 4 dozen oysters between both trips! Worth it! I would recommend the “shandys not bombs” drink btw, comes with a nice piece of candy

Great cocktail menu. Really captures the feel of California mountains with a cocktail named “In the Pines” and countless others all made with care by their bartenders.
The food menu is quite good too. The chicken sandwich was delicious, tasted quite upscale but maybe misses some of the crunch of others of the same type. Definitely not complaining, it was great!
One thing that was odd is that the order kind of came out in reverse order of what I’d expect. We got two dishes, fries and oysters. So it came out, fries, the dishes, then the oysters.
Overall, great spot with a diverse American menu. I’m going back next time I drive through!

Great food, great service, great drinks, great lighting, but the damn place is always freezing because they leave the front door open which kills the ambience. I realize it is easy for staff to get in and out with the door open, but you gotta be mindful of the inside customers

Alright dog so if you’re southern then the fried chicken sandwich is like a 3. Butttttttttt relatively, speaking this is probably one of the juiciest and well-breaded chicken sandwiches you can get around this area so W place man. Their fries, and the dill aioli that come with them are fire though.
My recc is to get the spicy honey with the sandwich but know that it’ll be devoid of spicy. May as well just call it the honey honey. The honey with like two crumbs of paprika. And if you get the honey drizzle it in the sandwich cause if you dip your sandwich will get disintegrated.
The place itself looks great though. Great feel. Hand sanitizers were out and the bathroom is single-user.

Not my first time stopping here. This honestly was the perfect spot to stop after hiking Alamere falls. Everyone in our party of 5 was happy with the food and the staff. I had Hearts Desire and 3 shrimp tacos. Aside from the food being amazing let me tell you about the bar tender. She was seriously the best…. not only does she make a good drink but she shared with us her chocolate & carrot cake that she received as a gift from a local fire fighter. We shared some great laughs with her as well.
