Staff was super friendly and helpful on my first visit tonight, despite their very long and busy Saturday shifts. High marks here.
Brisket: on point. Wish it were sliced thinner, but if you eat it straight in small bites, it slaps.
Make it a sandwich for yourself with pickles and onions. Using sauce on it almost feels like a crime.
Sauce was solid as well. Lots of places can’t get their sauce right. No complaints at S&S.
Sausage: nothing bad to say. Jalapeño sausage was perfect.
Sides:
1) pinto beans were a fail. Way too much salt and pepper in them, ruined a good side dish.
2) The cheese and tater tot casserole picked up the slack. This stuff should come with a surgeon general’s warning! #dangerous
3) Cucumber side salad is a crisp, clean offset to the high octane BBQ.
Desert: beware the apple cobbler! You won’t be able to control yourself. They offer it with ice cream in case you want to dabble in diabetes. I regret nothing…
Atmosphere: the yellow lights were the only demerit. Better lighting could improve the entire atmosphere and vibe inside.
Beverages: they have everything you want or need with your BBQ.
Price: best bang for your buck (if you like to eat) is to do the 3-meat combo
Get extra brisket, and have TONS of leftovers for a second meal later on.
Portions were beautifully generous.
Everything you see in the photos was under $40, and makes 2 glorious meals for a husky 225lb Texan.
Will I be back?
Oh yes… very soon.

Stiles switch has excellent barbecue, especially the brisket. The only place in town that I would say is consistently better is Franklin but going to Franklin is more of a process with the lines and the wait. The barbecue sauce at stiles switch might be my favorite in Austin, I wish they sold it in the grocery store.

Delicious food great place tohang out with friends or family. The meat were well cooked and seasoned.Cheese tot casseroles were super delicious and cheesy loved the texture on it, brussel sprout helps complement the saltiness of the barbecue.

What an awesome BBQ spot! That brisket was so tender and moist. The pork was phenomenal too. The sauces were perfect for each meat (and I typically don’t even like thinner vinegar based sauces, but I slathered the pork in theirs it was so good). Staff was really friendly and helpful. I would happily go back, if I didn’t live on the other side of the country. Glad I went here for one of the few meals I got in Austin.

Got the frito pie pulled pork and the Buford T Diablo sandwich and both were fantastic! The sandwich was jam-packed with meat and flavors. I honestly think that getting a sandwich gets you way more meat for the price than a meat plate and it’s much more of an experience. The frito pie was really yummy but getting the queso on top was a bit overkill. It was drowning the Fritos in almost a soup-like consistency. All of food was still delicious! Highly recommend.

Good experience. Not a restaurant feel, more like a lunch place.
Brisket Cuts weren’t too dry. Seasoning was good. Table sauces were decent. Mexican cooks get it done. Prices fair. Need more beer and drink selections.

Very clean and fast service,I ordered the frito pie and it was FULLY LOADED, it’s probably the best frito pie in town. I also ordered the smoked wings that were delivered to my table a little bit after and they were enormous wing stop has nothing on these guys. I would definitely say this is the prime spot for bbq in the Leander cedarpark area.

Stiles! It’s one of my go to places for BBQ in Austin! While they don’t do everything amazing, the things they do well, they do really well. I love the Mac, pudding and the best corn casserole side. The pork ribs are in my opinion the best ribs in all of Austin. I love how peppery and spicy they are but it is not overpowering.
Turkey is always great and same with the pulled pork. One of my favorites to go. And the hawg rub fries are amazing.

Real-Deal Texas BBQ – Brisket and Ribs are almost always too-tier. “Almost” only if they’re having an off day. BUT! Unlike other joints, the cutters will serve your brisket based on your preference! Fatty or Point vs Lean! Just ask! I love it! Best menu side item? Me = Brussel Sprouts. Spicy and the BEST I’ve ever had. No joke. My daughter = Mac and Cheese. Simple, no crust, creamy. What kids love! Cheers folks
