Sticks Tavern – Water Street District

We’re talking about a place that spent weeks refining the signature Sticks Burger. Where the elevated cheese sticks are made with Oaxacan cheese.

Came to visit the “Hawaiian Dancing Queen”Bartender, Lala at her new spot on an early Saturday night. I was presently surprised that this was a family friendly gaming restaurant so the hubby and I could enjoy perfectly crafted beverages coupled with good eats for us and our baby girl.

Good we ordered was very good! Had the greek burger and it really was amazing. The employees were really nice. Good view of the downtown area. Probably a lot of fun when the Knights are playing.

Heard really good things about the wings here and was not disappointed. The bartender mentioned that they serve the wings with sauce on the side. Kind of strange but I like to get it how the chef intended so we went with it. He gave us a couple of every sauce they offer. The wings were actually REALLY good on their own. Super tender, flavorful, juicy….. everything you want a wing to be. I love that they’re a little smaller that what I’ve been getting at most places lately. Just little bite sized pieces of amazing, perfectly fried chicken, LIGHTLY battered (If you’re not a breaded wing fan don’t skip these. It’s so light you’ll barely notice). Can’t say enough good things. The sauces were delish. I preferred the standard wing sauce and blue cheese but the others were good too. We added the steak frites just to round out the meal. Seasoned perfectly and cooked medium rare. Fries were legit. Highly recommend this place.

We just happened to walk by and decided to try this restaurant out. I’m so glad we did. The food was amazing! We had the steak and eggs and biscuit and gravy. The steak was cooked perfectly and so flavorful! All the food we had was great. The waitress was so nice and made sure our drinks where never empty. Definitely will be returning!

Fun spot with gaming right next to Lifeguard Arena with an impeccable food menu! We got the steak sandwich, biscuits, & salmon salad which were all very indulgent and went great with our bottomless mimosas on the weekend! Will be back for more live music too, great hidden gem on Water Street!

Simple place with terrific food. Been here twice recently and was good both times. Tried the Stanley Cup cocktail the knight we won the Stanley Cup and it was Felicia. They make almost all of their food in house.

AVOID. Not worth your time. I came in a large group because the reviews were so good. I am sad to report that the food was absolutely terrible. The fries were extremely dry and soggy at the same time? I have no idea how that is possible. The wings, although crispy, had no flavor and come plain. You choose two sauces to dip them in (I did Buffalo and ranch) and they were both below average. My husband got the burger which he said was just alright. He said the meat wasn’t terrible but there was nothing to it but cheese and a bun. He also got the poutine (a die hard Canadian), and he said it was overly salted. I truly believe the good reviews that were left were done by paid reviewers or people who were drunk out of their mind. If you are sober, AVOID!!!!!!!!!

The food was very good. I had the Chicken in a Biscuit and it was delicious. A few people at my table got the Stuffed French Toast and they all said it was great. The decor was adorable. The restaurant was a bit loud, but I think it was busier than it normally is. I would definitely go back.
