I dined 2-2-2026, 1st time. The customer service was exemplary from Sierra and Kayleigh. The price point for the seafood was fair but lacked my expectations. I ordered a steamed boil. The steamed boil was well presented in an aluminum foil steamer tray with a top! So to re-steam would have been easy! My expectation was that the shrimp would have been cleaned, but it wasn’t! And the crab legs in my opinion could not have been fresh as the crab meat was shrunken inside the shell and I wasn’t able to shuck the shrunken crab meat easily! All else in the steamer tray was fine. Well portioned. The restaurant was extremely clean and organized! I also purchased a gallon of sweet tea. That gallon of tea was so sweet, I couldn’t drink it without cutting it with “unsweetened” tea, and even that didn’t help! ♀️ I returned back to my hotel and poured it down the sink. Disturbingly too sweet for the label of “sweet” tea. It should be labeled “extra sweet tea!” to alert the consumer! I poured $6+ down the sink out of concern for my health and I’m sad about it! Service, location, price point, all very good, but the uncleaned shrimp, and the crab legs that were not fresh, won’t interest me in visiting again.

Quick service, excellent seafood, low key atmosphere. Our favorite place to visit in Fort Walton. We always leave feeling full and happy!

Absolutely phenomenon place. For steamers, go to the market on the right side facing the restaurant. For fried food, go to the left side facing the restaurants. We went to both. Everything so wonderful and I’m addicted

First stop of our trip was Stewby’s. Both my wife and I got the shrimp steamer dish, and we had enough for 2 meals a piece!

Stewby’s is my new favorite place to go to for seafood. I have tried different places at Fort Walton Beach but this is so far the best place. The crawfish dinner was so good that I went back to buy some to take home. However, they were not opened yet and I had to leave early in the morning. The shrimp dinner was and the banana pudding was also delicious. The next time I’m there, I will go back and try different entries and sides.
Besides the great food, the service I received was fast but friendly. Katrina was the one who took my order. She did so with a smile. I know it’s part of their job to give good customer service but sometimes we may not always receive that. So when I do receive great customer service customer, I like to highlight the person(s) who does that. Kudos to Katrina.
Make sure you stop by there.

I got the chance to stop for some food before I left for home on a evening flight. Oh.my.god. The tacos were AMAZING! Picture perfect spot, so is the food. I took two bites of that taco, the left, and then the right it was that good. The fries were seasoned perfectly. Cashier was polite, service was quick. Very nice spot to go sit down and eat, but I took my food to go.

We found Stewby’s on TikTok and decided to check it out—and we’re so glad we did. There are two buildings here, each with a different menu. One focuses on fried, grilled, and blackened seafood, while the other offers steamed seafood and boils. We ordered from both spots to get the full experience.
When we arrived, there was a line out the door at the fried building, but it moved surprisingly fast. The staff was friendly and quick to explain how everything worked, which made it easy to order. Even with the crowd, we got our food fairly quickly, and there was plenty of seating available—both indoors and outside.
We went with the Family Steamed Platter. The steamed platter was a serious crowd-pleaser: 5 pounds of seafood, including crab legs, mussels, head-on and head-off shrimp, crawfish, corn, potatoes, and four mini tubs of melted butter. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. Our party of 9 shared it as a snack, and there was more than enough to go around.
Bonus points for the dog-friendly outdoor patio—such a great vibe and a perfect spot to enjoy fresh seafood without feeling rushed. If you’re in the Ft. Walton area, Stewby’s is a must. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

Pretty good steamer place, don’t get it confused with a boil place, but you go to service line and order and food will come out after. Staff was nice and the decor is what you expect from a stewby’s. You can buy different fresh options from their coolers or premade dips and salads. Worth a shot if you like crab and shrimp.

The freshly steamed seafood here was so delicious! We got lots of snow crab legs, grouper, and shrimp along with amazing potatoes, sausage, and corn. Everything was perfectly seasoned and juicy. We finished the meal with some yummy banana pudding. Definitely a great place to check out during your stay in Destin!

I was highly recommended to try Stewby’s Steamer & Market for lunch, and it did not disappoint! It’s a smaller, charming spot with picnic table seating and a quaint, laid-back vibe. Right next door is Stewby’s Seafood Shanty, which I learned handles the fried items, while the Steamer specializes in grilled and steamed dishes.
I ordered the blackened grouper sandwich with chips and the seafood gumbo, and both were fantastic! The grouper was perfectly cooked and flavorful, and the gumbo was satisfying. For just over $26, the quality and portions felt worth it.
Located about 3/4 of a mile from the boardwalk, this spot is well worth the short trip if you’re in the area. I’ll definitely be back to sample more of their menu.
