We like to eat at different places when we travel to experience different things. However, this place was so GOOD that we ate here 3 times in one week! Everything that we tried was delicious! Here is what we had over the 3 meals: fried grouper, fried shrimp, grouper sandwich, steamed crab legs (from steamer), cheese grits, Cole slaw, beans, okra, onion rings, fish dip, shrimp salad, and potato salad. All were excellent!! We would eat them all again and recommend each (with the exception of the beans). This place is super casual and the appearance is nothing fancy but their food is the quality of a 5-star seafood restaurant. We jokingly said, “we don’t know who Stewby is, but Stewby knows what he’s doing!!” Hope to visit from GA again soon just to eat here. Highly recommend!

Excellent food, fast service and clean restaurant. We shared fried oysters dinner with collard greens, a side salad and a bowl of gumbo. We were full and the food was fresh. I saw the cook put the oysters in the batter after we ordered it. It’s not fancy but you dont need fancy for amazing food. The collard greens were a 10 out 10 along with everything else. We will eat here again before we leave the area.

Great great fresh seafood ! All was excellent! Loved the fried shrimp and the cheese grits but not quite as good as Metro Diner in my opinion ! Great iced tea too was fresh ! You order at the front then they call your number ! They have a great efficiency with their system! There was a line but not too bad moves quickly – we ate at the fried side the other building is the steamed side – like low country boil – crawfish etc ! Hats off to stewbys! Can’t wait to come back !

The food was really good and the service was friendly. It is not what I was expecting. You order at the counter and then they call your number to get your food. It has a fast food vibe but the Amberjack fish was delicious. The grits were tasty and the fries were the battered kind. If you don’t mind the quick service vibe, the food is really good!!

The fish tacos were so good! Im not a fan of coleslaw but when I ate those I immediately loved it. The steamed family feast was also AMAZING! Just the right amount of seasoning and the right portions. The hushpuppies were delicioussss! Mine did come burnt one time but mistakes happen. Now the setting was great. They had the cutest string lights and tables. But the most you could fit on their tables would be a family of 4-6. Small but plenty. The service is also fast when the place isnt packed. Theyre popular so make sure to come at the right time. This is one of the best places to go to in Fort Walton, for sure.

I got the fish of the day grouper dinner with two sides, baked beans and coleslaw and it came with two hush puppies. It was excellent. Perfectly fried, fresh, and generous portion. Great flavor all around, sides and fish.

Meal was good, beans had a little heat, collard greens was good. but grouper was too salty and hush puppies were a bit soggy from being placed with entree. One complaint would be that they need to use different containers for their to go meals. It appears that the hot entree “melted” the container and probably went into food.

Stewby’s is a local favorite and is now one of ours! Freshest fish, inviting staff, atmosphere is not as great as the gulf side restaurants but the taste can’t be beat! Tip: dip the hush puppies in honey- Delicious!

We came twice on our trip! The service was phenomenal and the food was phenomenaler! We can’t wait to come back for these delicious meals! The tacos were my favorite! Bring from Texas I didn’t think they’d be that good! But they were! The shrimp, catfish, baked beans and fries all so good!
