Food was terrible. Soup came out and it was cold and grainy. I pushed it away and the bartender just ignored me. She finally asked if she should take it away. I told her what was wrong. She offered a salad. I was impressed because the way things were going I didn’t expect much and that is what I got when the salad came. It was about 4 or 5 pieces of lettuce one slice of cucumber and a tomato wedge. The lettuce was brown and the dressing was very runny. All this prepared me for my fried chicken. I was told it was a whole chicken it was not. The chicken was very over cooked. The mashed potatoes were so small I think they had run out and gave me what was left. No gravy, no butter. This food was not prepared or even designed by a trained chef. I don’t know how someone with any skills could possibly send out food that looked like this. The crust of the chicken was breaking off it was so over cooked. The good thing was that there was only about 5 people in the bar so it was quiet while I ate my very bad meal. I hope this review helps. In case you weren’t sure my suggestion is to eat somewhere else. The beer I was served was fine. The bartender was quick to bring me another.

Highlights were the great server, Allison, and friendly staff.
Plenty of average stuff here, same layout as the previous two occupants in this transitional spot, a comfortable environment.
Good beer selection, reasonably priced. Short Tito’s and tonic for $8, I think a little high.
I ordered $14 fish taco’s, (which rung up as $15) tasted okay, but barely warm. Single thin corn tortillas were no match and disintegrated, double up up guys. Rice & beans also tasted fine, but lukewarm. No salsa or pico for the tacos? Weird. Definitely not worth $14. (Or $15)
My wife ordered chicken fajitas, very little good happening here. Food was again lukewarm. How hard is it to serve hot food with 3-4 tables filled? Giant grilled pepper served on top, crazy hot & spicy, right into the trash. Chicken tasted good, portion was good sized. My wife asked to sub a vegetable for the rice & beans. Allison said they have zucchini and green beans…perfect! Unfortunately, she brought out a piece of corn on the cob literally 3” long, so overcooked, again, it went in the trash. Worse insult was they charged us $2 for the sub! What a joke. Allison removed the charge when I pointed it out. If she would have said that the vegetable sub was a inedible tiny piece of corn, my wife would have made a different menu selection.
All in all, Stevie D’s needs to improve or perish. They have a great patio, but the chef must have left with the ownership change. Tavern in the Hills had terrific food, perfectly prepared. Stevie D’s gets two stars only because of the server and friendly staff.
May come back in a few months, but not sure this place will still be here.

Not crowded but bar service was slow. Nice but slow. My appetizer came out just warm after sitting in the window to long, yes I got a remake but that.also was just warm. Oh well the beer was chilled and staff was nice.

Every time I have come here to eat, the service, food, atmosphere and beverage selection has been exceptional. The staff are friendly, very accommodating and help to create the excellent dining experience along with the delicious food. I highly recommend Stevie D’s in Wasco, Illinois.
