Love having this local family restaurant in our neighborhood. It’s a casual atmosphere, and the staff are great to chat with, down to earth and welcoming. You get a sense of the restaurant’s multi-generation history in Overland Park. We often get carry out, and our go-to is the Villa Capri Special pizza, a Grilled Chicken Salad (it’s big enough to share), and an appetizer. The pizzas have a thinner style crust, and we like it cooked extra crispy. It can really hit the spot!

I haven’t had Villa Capri since they moved from downtown OP. Safe to say the food hasn’t gone down hill at all. Sandwiches and pizza are great can’t wait to try the pasta! The staff are super friendly as well

Service was good, food was very sub par. My fiance got the chicken Alfredo. And for having above olive garden prices on it, it was below quality of even Fazolis. My salad had massive chunks of the core from the lettuce. Honestly the only good part of the food was the bread they served us, and even that wasn’t much more than store bought bread. I’ll only ever go back if someone asks me to go, otherwise that was my one and only time.

Pork slice sandwich was tasty and sizable. The homemade sausage sandwich was not worth it. The sausage was overloaded with cumin seeds and didn’t taste like any I had ever eaten in my life. Service was fast and friendly. I put their menu up at work and several others said they liked the food there.

Best meatball sandwich in the KC metro area. This family owned and operated gem is a KC original that’s been running for a very long time. You’ll be greeted, served and cooked for by the owners. They have daily lunch specials. I can go to Steve’s during lunch hour, dine in and eat my favorite meal in less time I can drive thru some cardboard box chain or overpay for delivery and I feel great about spending my money at this awesome establishment. You feel like you’ve known them forever once they see you a few a times they’ll remember you! I love Thursdays because the lunch special is the meatball sandwich! This place should be on diners drives and dives. I swear there is something here for everyone. Just GREAT simple American Italian food. Try it, you’ll love it. If you don’t love it keep trying it until you do!

Food here is really good. Classic Italian dishes and the Pizza is really really good here too. Thinner crust (not the thick all bread dough kind, YUK) We love the “Villa Capri Special” pizza. It’s loaded with lots of toppings and has great flavor. It’s been our favorite pizza for years. Even when they used to be located up at 81st and Metcalf. Nice owners and staff and great service. Quit reading this review and go eat here today!

Best pizza in Kansas City and has been for years. Wife and I ate here again on 7/24/19 and had the ‘Villa Capri Special’ Pizza. Crisp crust. They don’t skimp on the toppings. The taste is fantastic. This is what good pizza is supposed to be like. Go here!!!!!!

1st time for us…
did curbside…food was very good….loved the spaghetti and meat sauce….reminded me of the sauce (gravy) that Mrs. Teracone made every Sunday…this was an Italian lady from whom I rented a room in up state New York….she barely spoke English…I spoke no Italian but we communicated thru food….she was wonderful as was her sauce…..Villa’s sauce took me back to 1967 and a special lady……my husband had a pizza and said it’s the best he’s had in years. Needless to say we’ll be back just not as often as we would want because…..it is a bit on the pricey side. Yummy!!! Highly recommend!!!
