This is a great family style dining restaurant. They were quite busy tonight but we still had excellent service. Food menu is very large. Everything we ordered came to with the table hot and fresh. We had a very friendly waitress and overall enjoyed our meals.

STEVES’S GRILL is located in Demotte a small town in Northwest IN. Why do I like this place? First off it is unassuming not like so many places these days. Secondly, it has good food. The restaurant is not fancy but warm and inviting. The service is good and fare served up with a smile. I chose the home cooked chili and bleu cheese burger both of which were delicious. My companion ordered the club sandwich equally good and was happy with his choice. There is table or counter seating which is a nice option and the menu has plenty of choices for just about everyone in your family. The price point is good & comparable to similar food venues. The restaurant is clean and provides restrooms for its customers. Thank you Steve’s Grill for a delicious lunch. I am happy to recommend this spot for good service, value & food. 8 Wings that were extremely small and they cold on the inside and very dry. When we told the waitress the wings were cold, she said, “I’m sorry”. That was it. Didn’t offer to warm them, didn’t offer a fresh batch. Nothing. They didn’t even give us the celery that was supposed to come with the wings. The white fish dinner tasted like something that came out of a box. And they had No lettuce for a salad that was included in the dinner and no substitution was offered. Really disappointed.

To start with and to be fair, I want to say I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years and have always been very happy with the food. I love the fried mushrooms! The waitresses have always been fantastic. Unfortunately my last 3 visits weren’t so great. Given the years of great food and service I am hoping I have just been unlucky and caught them at a bad time.

I’ve been here a few times. I’ve had breakfast and dinner. Server was fine each time. The food has been okay until tonight. I RARELY ever send food back. Tonight I ordered the special of chicken alfredo. I sent it back and I didn’t want a replacement at all. The sauce was milky water and cold. The chicken wasn’t seasoned. I’m probably not going to be back.

This place is so disgusting! While eating, I happened to look down at the floor. The carpet was black and brown from staining over the years. Food was under tables from the day before, and as we were paying at register I saw one of the cooks rub his nose and grab a handful of food without even washing his hands. If you live in a nasty house that you don’t clean and like 40 year old bacteria infested carpet then this is the place for you to enjoy your food with a free side of boogers!

I’ve been to Steve’s several times over the years. The server ignored me and my friend for over 15 minutes. When my friend asked the server if she could at least bring us something to drink, the server rolled her eyes and was quite rude.

Steves used to be good. Their food portions and quality has really gone down. Big turnover of workers. Now the owner is cooking and it’s horrible. I won’t be going back after years of supporting this restaurant.
