I have eaten here since I can remember, before I was able to drive and pick food up myself. It’s a ‘pick up only’ location,
as of typing this review, the area is safe by far. It’s Lafayette. In fact, the north side has more police presence, police stations, and fire trucks than anywhere else in the city. you’d have bad luck here get a headlight citation before anything else on this end, again, it’s pick up only location.. they’re cooking, taking orders chilling and family oriented, not the bubbly experience of a dine-in restaurants. The aesthetics of the area outside isn’t Tier A gorgeous It’s a pass-by location in general. Not much to see here but a handful of houses down s pierce st, some industrial/factory building, and cars flying by.
That said, the fried food is the best in town.
I recommend the chicken tenders. 5pc two sauce 10pc has 4. There’s some charge for extra sauce.
The honey mustard sauce is great as well. Whenever I mention this place to friends, the tenders are always a win.

First time here and the food was great. The shrimp fried rice has great flavor. The chicken drumettes are tender & juicy. Shrimp was nice & big ……. fish was fluffy & seasoned just right.

True hidden gem of Lafayette, that has been operating for many, many years in a shack! Although it looks run down, the food here is top notch! I’ve been here for at least 15 years, and the food quality is always great! My go-to’s are chicken strips and the seafood platters, either with fries or with fried rice! Remember the food are for take-out only!

You cannot find any better tasting chicken tenders in Lafayette. Full Stop! Their chicken tenders are large and well seasoned. A 10 piece chicken tenders platter with your choice of French fries or fried rice is 14.99. Great price for the amount of food. I’m not a fan of “sauce” like Canes where people have to drown those tee tiny tenders in goop to be able to eat them. The chicken tenders at Steven’s taste great on their own! No need to drown them in a special sauce to give them flavor!
The family that owns Steven’s are hardworking people.
The one and only reason I give them only 3 stars for atmosphere is that it’s not always easy to find a parking spot and it can be a bit tricky get in and out of their parking lot.
All in all, you cannot get better tasting food at such an affordable price anywhere in Lafayette. I highly recommend Steven’s! Give them a try!

One plate lunch can feed two adults! And it was really good. I indulged in a small seafood platter, trust me, it was a hefty portion too:)) The egg rolls are worth taking a drive, now that was a DARN GOOD ROLL!!
The inside is not somewhere you can dine, it is pretty small inside and the place fills up quick. I still do not trust being close to otters. I would recommend ordering over the phone first. Other than that, heck yes, I will have Steven, again and again;)
