Finally visited Steve & Cookies for the first time in August 2025 and had a wonderful first experience. The food was incredible, and the service was great. The atmosphere and decor is a little stuffy, but with the place full it’s lively and you don’t notice anymore. My favorite dishes were the seasonal tomato salad and peach pie. Our group had a variety of delish seafood dishes, and the the roasted duck was amazing!! Can’t wait to try again next summer.

Had our anniversary dinner here. Overall, phenomenal experience. The atmosphere is intimate and decorated beautifully for the holidays. Our waiter Rob was fast, friendly and knowledgeable. We had cocktails, the soup of the day and the hummus platter to start. All were delicious. My husband had the stuffed porkchop and potatoes and I had the the crabcake meal for our entrées. Both very good. We didn’t have dessert but there were quite a few options. The other diners were all kind and everyone was dressed nice. Would definitely recommend to others and will be back.

Steve & Cookies never disappoints. We had an outstanding dinner—everything from the atmosphere to the service was spot on. The halibut was perfectly cooked, flaky, and full of flavor, and the pan-seared seafood dish was absolutely incredible—fresh, beautifully prepared, and bursting with taste.
You can truly tell they care about quality and consistency here. A Margate classic for a reason, and always a place we’re happy to come back to. Highly recommend!

The oysters were excellent, and the seasonal blueberry cake was wonderful — definitely worth a visit for the food. The dining room, however, had an upscale, fairly homogenous crowd, unlike the more diverse atmospheres we’re used to in cities like NYC, LA, or many places in Europe. It left the space feeling somewhat exclusionary to me. Fantastic cuisine, but the overall vibe would keep me from returning.

Third time dining here, and they consistently giving us great vibes. Excellent food, great service, warm atmosphere and the price is reasonable compared to other restaurants. Will definitely make this place our regular dining spot in the shore area.

Our favorite place down the shore, ever! The service is always perfect and so nice to see the same staff year after year after year. Once they’re hired, they stay. The food always excites the palate. When we leave, we always say, our mouths are singing. 🙂 Do not miss the Halibut with Pistachio Crunch Sauce. And I forgot to take a picture of our fantabulous Caesar Salad.

Went to Steve and Cookie’s for dinner with the family. It was my first time visiting after hearing so many great things about it. Well it lived up to every expectation. I have been wanting to try this place for some time. I had the Halibut special with panko, potatoes and asparagus with a Caesar salad. Drinks, service, food and atmosphere were spot on. The owner was even checking with tables to see how our service was. This is a farm to table type restaurant using the best ingredients in every dish. Highly recommended.
