Wow!! My first time here. I picked up a loaf of their Italian bread to take home for dinner. I and my family loved it. We ate it with pasta and had enough left over to use this delicious bread with it’s awesome golden crust and and soft interior to make grilled cheese sandwiches the following night. They were absolutely fantastic!! The Steubenville Bakery is located on a side street in Steubenville in an unassuming building but their sign is easy to see and parking is available right in front of the building. When you step inside you are able to see the entire operation including the oven. Now that I have tried their bread I look forward to stopping in to pickup bread and buns whenever I’m in the area.

It DOES looked closed, lol, but it’s NOT! Don’t use the “main” door, go to the right of the building, and you’ll see a hallway – take that to an order window and tell them what you’d like! The bread is EXCELLENT!!

You can’t believe this place exists… by the looks of the outside. The bread and rolls they make in their authentic brick hearth ovens are crispy-crusted and soft inside. Get a warm one to bite into as you leave the place. Simple and wonderful. They work hard and their product is wonderful!

We’ve been getting bread there for decades now. It’s more like desert than anything. You walk through that door and the smell hits you like a truck. It’s the most wonderful smell ever. I could eat an entire loaf by myself. Having this place in Steubenville is absolutely wonderful. It’s not just a place to get good bread….it’s become a tradition!!!

Food is great. But it’s overpriced, the bakery itself smells absolutely disgusting to the point it’s nauseating. The woman behind the counter was very short and curt. Rude. And not friendly whatsoever.
