We are from North Jersey. And we absolutely love Stephens food. The portions were very generous. The polenta Bolognese appetizer was to die for. The crab meat pasta in the red sauce was delicious. The angel hair was cooked perfectly al dente. The fisherman’s seafood pasta was absolutely amazing. We also had the stuff flounder which was yummy and veal Sicilian was so tender and tasty. We wish him all the luck in the world. I hope lots of people Discover this hidden gem in Wildwood because he definitely cooks some delicious homemade Italian food. His staff is very nice and on point especially for Faith, who is extremely bubbly and always helpful . Can’t wait to come back next year.

Stephen’s Restaurant – Wildwood, NJ (5/5)
Stephen’s is a cozy BYOB Italian and seafood restaurant located just off the boardwalk on Wildwood Avenue. The atmosphere is quaint, modern, and welcoming.

Our server, Faith, was friendly and attentive, providing excellent service throughout our meal. The food was delicious and well-prepared. The portion sizes were adequate and the price was just right.

The owner, Stephen, took time to visit tables and check in with guests, which made the experience feel personal and showed his pride in the restaurant. Overall, a great dining experience we’d gladly recommend.

I was in Wildwood for the evening and wanted to dine at a BYOB restaurant, stumbled upon this establishment, so happy I did.
From the outside it didn’t look like it was going to be as nice as it was. I absolutely loved the decor, the colors of grey, black and white was very sophisticated.
I dined with 3 other people.
We ordered mussels in white sauce and stuffed long hots for appetizer, both were delicious.
My party ordered stuffed flounder, seared scallops and veal Oscar, all of which were also delicious.
I however, ordered fried seafood combination, haven’t had that dish in 20 years and not really sure why I ordered it. Scallops were not good nor was the clam casino, actually only the filing was on the plate. However, The flounder, and shrimp were very good. Looking forward to returning next time I’m in w

This is the best hidden gem restaurant. Chef Stephen and Kelly welcome their guests with open arms. Now, the food, that’s taking it to another level. We started with long hots stuffed with crabmeat and wrapped in prosciutto, which were off the charts. Then came the polenta topped with Chef Stephen’s bolognese sauce, which was spectacular. And finally, the entrées were veal Oscar topped with asparagus over linguine in a white wine sauce and his house specialty, gnocchi made from ricotta cheese, topped with a vodka crab meat sauce. The gnocchi were like little pillows of deliciousness. The food at Stephen’s is second to none, and the service is spectacular. You will not be disappointed, to say the least.

Read about Stephens in the Star ledger top new restaurants to try in 2023. We were NOT disappointed! Great location off the boardwalk. We started with the crabmeat cocktail and crab stuffed long hots- outstanding! The Crab and Pasta entree reminded me of Christmas Eve.. delicious. Highly recommend the Clams and Pasta in Red sauce— probably one of my top favorite dinners down the shore; it’s EXCELLENT.

Title: A Perfect Start to the Day at Stephen’s Restaurant!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

When I stepped into Stephen’s Restaurant in Wildwood, NJ, I was instantly enveloped by a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. The cozy and tasteful decor painted a picture of comfort without going overboard, a delicate balancing act.

My breakfast consisted of classic comfort food: eggs, toast, and home fries, all perfectly cooked. The eggs were deliciously fresh, and the toast was a delightful crunch and chew. The standout, however, was the home fries. Stephen’s serves them with the skin on—a touch that adds authenticity and flavor. Despite this, they were quickly peelable, a testament to their meticulous cooking process.

The service was, without a doubt, top-tier. From the efficiency of the waitstaff to its polite demeanor, it was a pleasant reminder of what excellent dining service looks like. The waitstaff ensured my breakfast experience was smooth and enjoyable from start to finish.

Lastly, the proximity to the boardwalk adds another level of appeal to Stephen’s. Just a few steps away, it’s a perfect spot for a delicious meal before or after a stroll along the boardwalk.

In summary, Stephen’s Restaurant exceeded my expectations with its superb food, exceptional service, and pleasant ambiance. It’s a gem in Wildwood, NJ, and a must-visit for all food lovers. I can’t wait for my next breakfast here!

It is highly recommended!

My wife and I were down the shore for a few nights. We were walking around and saw this place. We walked up to check the menu and a group of people who just dined there said the place was really good, so we gave it a shot.

The service was really good. Greeted when we entered the door and were sat quickly. Our waitress, Justine, came right over. She was super friendly and her service was really good. 5/5 stars. We even had the chef come out and ask how our meal was, you don’t get that often these days!

For starters they give you complimentary garlic bread and sauce! Very good and a nice touch! We tried the meatballs with ricotta. It was a very nice dish that was accompanied by a small side salad. My wife and I both really enjoyed it and the sauce was amazing. My wife got the surf and turf (filet and lobster tail) she enjoyed her meal and was stuffed afterwards. I got the pasta and clams in white sauce. Plenty of clams and the sauce was excellent. For dessert I got the chocolate cake. It was solid no real complaints with it.

Overall it was a nice dining experience and we will definitely be trying it again the next time we visit.

This was our first visit. I have to say, we were impressed! Especially the garlic bread and marinara to start – a pleasant touch. We will definitely be back to try more from the menu. We had the sausage appetizer- excellent, and for entrees – stuffed flounder and the broiled seafood dinner. Both we super. Hope you decide to try it, we think you’ll enjoy.

The staff was welcoming and attentive. The food was good and much better than eating on the boardwalk. Shrimp cocktail and garlic beard were yummy. The shrimp parm with pasta was good. The scallops over risotto was ehh. Too much salt and olive oil for me but maybe to someone else’s liking. I would come back and try something else for sure, but not the scallops unless they were prepared differently, then maybe.
