Uhm – I ordered Uber eats and I specifically ordered rice and vegetables but got fries. When I arrived – no one said hi everyone was oblivious and rude. No type of customer awareness at all – you say hi not the other way around. The girl at the register had the audacity to ask me if I ordered fries with my food and I said no I did not but she unabashedly proceeded to give me the wrong order. Rude owners employees workers, the ribs are hard, the place looks unclean too. So do not go there.

The place is a small, mom&pop shop type of establishment that is specialized in BBQ in a simple but tasty way. Not much of sauce selections or meat marinated in fancy or exotic ingredients. Just good old fashion salt and black pepper, grilled distant enough from flames so you can have the best flavor possible from the meats. I’ve beef and pork ribs, but they also have chicken, sausages and fresh deep fried empanadas (that’s what they call it, but in Brazil or Portugal, it’s called pastel). By the way, the US and Portugal flags outside make you believe that once you’re stepping in, the greeting will come in Anglo/Luso way, but the chefs are not from that side of Europe whatsoever, so don’t be surprised. But that doesn’t mean that food quality was affected negatively. My dish came out deliciously flavorful enough to make me leave the place absolutely satisfied and eager to write them this recommended. I’m very skeptical about where to write about, so if I dedicated my extra time to share an experience with the world, it’s because it worth the time spent, either because it was awful and people need to know about, or if it’s excellent, as this place that totally deserve a visit. Now, having said all that, here are a few things to keep in mind: if you wanted to have the food for your family, just give them a call and order for take out. It’s not very family friendly because it’s too small to have more than 2 people together eating and talking comfortably. Also, because of the limited space and closeness to the grill, the place felt warm, but due to the great exhaustion system they have, you won’t leave the place smelling like you’re also grilling in there as well. And finally, parking, that’s a bit of a difficult, so you wanted to come from the streets on the side and park your car there or just quickly stop to pick up your take out, as in front of the place, which is in a corner, is prohibited to park between 6am-6pm mon-fri, obviously you won’t find spot to park on the weekend as residents and guests will have their cars around and possibly occupy the little spot. Other than that, enjoy their food. Portion is very sizable for the price and meat comes grilled excellently. Not reheated, freshly grilled. Worth the stop! If I could give minus stars I would. After almost an hour and a half lunch arrived and almost $60.00 for two meals. The whole dish was like dirty water – no flavor not even salt. The shrimp were so overcooked and flavorless it was awful. They give you 3 little tubs of hot sauce mixed with water – I guess that is supposed to be the flavor pack. What a waste of hard earned money. Just horrible….. never again!!!!

Horrible customer service … the waitress is horrible !!!! I tried to place a takeout order in person … I was asked if I ordered only to be ignored… the phone was non stop and she took the calls and again ignored me !!! I walked out and will not be returning.. learn how to multi task !!!!!

This was my very first time ordering online from this restaurant but definitely will not be my last…I ordered the full pan of chicken and pork ribs with the rice and black beans. Everything was delicious, great portions and was still hot when I received my order. The value for pan was also good…KEEP UP THE GREAT JOB!

Do not order from this location!! they’re extremely rude!! I placed an order for half of chicken and short ribs, the ribs were uncooked pink in the middle, when I called to inform the manager in the best possible tone of voice, she immediately was on the defense, proceeded to raise her voice to exculate to a verbal altercation, never offered a credit or any type of solution except to say “I CAN’T DO NOTHING ABOUT IT”

Wish I can give negative stars. Speaking to the manager will not make a difference so that’s not a solution. Do not even bother going here. KEEP AWAY FROM STEPHANIES BBQ IN Roselle Park. This place is an absolute disgust when dealing with the staff. They are extremely rude with lack of customer service. The lady rudely yelled at me “I said I can’t hear you” on the phone because she was not able to hear me. Then proceeded I didn’t have to repeat my order because in a rude tone with bad attitude “I know what it is I work here”. I told her to be more kind to her customers and her excuse was because she could not hear me. We cancelled the order. We now order from Costas BBQand Backyard Grill – the people at both costas and backyard grill are super friendly and know what it means to run a restaurant with their wonderful customer service – which is what breaks or makes a business. DO NOT GO TO STEPHANIE’s BBQ they do not treat their customers with respect. We were going to order there out of convenience due to being close by – but The food is not the best – their chicken are smaller and smaller and starting to taste like rubber. This place should be closed. But customer service is the worse.
