First time ordering here and that’s because I was too tired to cook and this was around the corner from me but now I wish would have cooked this was straight money wasted. I ordered a full chicken and beef rib combo no complaints with the ribs but this chicken is insulting. To even serve customers this is wrong. And if owner is ok with this then that says a lot about him and he doesn’t respect his customers, and if this is the chicken they serve with a full I’m scared to see what a half would look like. Needless to say I won’t be back

Ordered a buy one get one free one fourth chicken with rice and beans and an order of plantains instead received 1/4 chicken with rice and french fries no sauces no napkins no forks. Not only was my order incorrect. The food was old. It seemed fresh on Saturday when I ordered it I ate it with no problems. I saved the second platter for today, which is Monday and now have food poisoning. There’s no way that if they cook that food fresh on Saturday that the second platter will be bad on Monday. Therefore, the food that they gave me on Saturday was clearly cooked prior to Saturday. I called and spoke to the manager. He attempted to deny that that was what was done But if someone who has worked in the food service industry and has my serve safe, I know how long before things go bad in a refrigerator and the only way that the food was bad today is if it was not cooked on Saturday and cooked beforehand. The food tasted fine on Saturday So as long as you’re OK buying leftovers this place will do just fine, but don’t buy the buy one get one free thinking that you’re gonna save the other platter and eat it before it should go bad because they pre-cook all their food It’s not made to order

On Saturday, the young lady who answers the phone is extremely rude. I called three times, and each time she asked me to hold, left me waiting for minutes, and then hung up. On the fourth call, she finally answered but spoke in a very disrespectful way.
I ordered chicken with beef ribs and clearly said I’m allergic to pork. I also asked to add spicy sauce on the side but it was not sent either. When I got home, I found she had included pork ribs, even after I told her about my allergy.
This is unacceptable and very unprofessional. I hope the manager or owner takes action because this kind of disrespectful attitude drives customers away. I won’t be coming back. It was annoying and disappointing!

Loved this place. Simple local place. And it was the best Portaguese style BBQ ever. Rivals anything in the Ironbound. Everything was fresh cooked and extremely well done. Even the French Fries were the best. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Sausage was wonderful with enough spice but not over done. Ribs were well cooked and delicately spiced. But the chicken.
.. Wow.. Juicy yet crispy. Amazing. This is the place to go. And based on the food traffic, the locals know it well. And the garlic sauce was beautifully garlic and had a nice flavor to complement all the food without over powering it

The food and service here are amazing. The Chicken and Ribs always taste fresh, hot and flavorful. I haven’t had anything here I didnt like. Definitely a must if you are in The Elizabeth area.

This place is horrible. My order through Uber eats took about 50 mins to make. When I called, they said “we ran out of chicken”. So, when the food finally gets there, the ribs are charred and way over cooked. Never ordering from this place again.

I had food delivered. The pork was small and dry. The chicken was mostly the back with the smallest leg that I’ve ever seen. It looked like it was from a Cornish hen. It was basically a big pile of rice and fries.
Stay far away. This was a complete rip off.

Prices on their menu online do not reflect current prices. Called to place an order for a combo and the guy quoted $9 more than what’s online. The food was not good. Pieces of small bones even in the rice! Major turnoff.

I’ve been going here and ordering delivery from here for years and the food has always been good. today not so much the shrimp with garlic sauce was more like fry’s and rice with shrimp garnish. I know times are hard but at least keep your portions consistent if you are going to raise the price.
