While in Greensboro we decided to try some soul food. We picked this location because of the review. Well…there was a red string of hair on my plate and my hair is black didn’t see it at first. Ordered the catfish turnip greens and Mac and cheese the Mac and cheese was k but my greens smelled like they had sat in dirty water or were not cleaned properly which I did not realize until I put A fork full in my mouth and they tasted like dirty water. The young lady who waited on us was really nice she smelled it as well. I ended Up not wanting any of it. This was a 1 and done for us.

The building is old but the food is five stars. Love the fries, ika and chicken sandwiches. But it’s not for the on the go people. You will have to wait for the food to cook fresh.. it’s so worth the wait.

TERRIBLE, Don’t waste your time or money here. Roaches don’t even want this mess. Must be living off past reputation. Waitress had bad attitude. Had to ask for lemon for tea twice. Ordered flounder. Fish was undercooked. Fries and hushpuppies looked like they had been refried. Hard as hell. Thank God for Bush’s baked beans. Straight out of can. Meal was $17. Service was POOR. Decor was WW2 Bombed out. Pitiful.

5/1/23 5:40p I’m having a horrible day came for comfort food, the lady with the blonde in her bang at the window is one of the RUDEST ppl i ever met in fast food its no need to be nasty, she didn’t know if i was hard of hearing but they need to remove her from the window send her home to cool off, everybody going through something her just being nice could’ve turnt my day around because i love to eat here!

Worst place ever,food was cold waiting 40 minutes for fish , manager has no customers service had to asked them for hot fish, believe it or not was mother’s day and I couldn’t present this plate to my mom with cold fish,,our people do better,I am giving you money, you’re not giving me nothing but a hard time, save your money and go somewhere else,I rather eat at a homeless shelter at least the food is hot
