We made reservations for 4p and we were seated right away! If you plan to go for dinner, I’d encourage reservations as it did get pretty busy quick. The steak bites were absolutely delicious!! Our dinners were deeelicious as well! Glad we went on a little road trip to try this place! Hoping to be back soon!

Basic food, bland or not very good with high prices for the quality. The server was okay, and it was loud with people yelling in the bar, highly disruptive. We tried apps, drinks, and maim courses and everything was Applebee’s quality with higher prices.

$24 Lobster Tacos • butter poached, guacamole, pico de gallo, cabbager, cilantro & lime *4/1/25 Updated second time visit after my Fra Diavolo visit*
Thought, since I’m stuck on a two year lease in Forest Lake & minimal dining options I’d give Stella’s another shot.
I got the Lobster Tacos & another order of broasted wings (half buffalo & half honey Sriracha).
Everything looked fine & dandy, service was meh again.
She was prompt with my husband (not surprised since he’s a cist white man), but I picked up on having to ask for refills on my beverage.
Coincidence? But, I did end up getting sick again, once I got home. Yacked up all of the lobster in my toilet bowl. So, I’m not sure if seafood is properly handled there at Stella’s.
I can safely say now, the small list of places to go in good ole’ Forest Lake, has grown smaller & smaller.

$26 Fra Diavolo • scallops, shrimp, mussels & lobster cream sauce over a bed of fettucine noodles 0 STARS
I thought this would be in a white cream sauce, the fettuccine was half assed smothered in a yellow Kraft Mac & Cheese sauce & the plating was appalling for a seemingly nicer restaurant for Forest Lake, Mn.
Despite the horrendous plating & unappetizing cheddar-y sauce, I twiddled my fork around & noticed a RAW SHRIMP in the dish & one closed mussel (which means it was dead prior to cooking if they even use fresh mussels). Prior to seeing this raw shrimp, I tried the pasta & it tasted off, sulfuric & very fishy. Rotten fishy.
I flagged our server Grace down & she sent it back to the kitchen.
Being paranoid after watching one too many episodes of Kitchen Nightmares, I was weary at how quickly the dish came back out. The shrimp was noticeably more tough which implies the kitchen may have just popped my plate back in the microwave (by the way it came back out piping hot when initially it didn’t).
Still hesitant, but hopeful since the wings were good, I cut up my shrimp & scallops & de-shelled my mussels & tried it again. The fettuccini still smelled off, rotten. Tried a scallop & it appeared raw. Put an overcooked shrimp in my mouth & immediately gagged it out. I tossed my cookies in Stella’s restroom twice & once more at home.
Grace, seemed unfazed & despite me telling her I believe at this point I did have a bad batch of seafood, no manager approached the table to acknowledge this food poisoning incident.
Though the broasted wings are good & service was mediocre, I don’t think I will be back. One not so fun thing about moving out here, is I’ll have to drive to the cities to find better eats.

Food is amazing and constant. Drinks were very good. The staff members are very nice and professional. Server Caleb was awesome & professional. everything we ordered was served in a impressive quick pace.
You can reserve or walk in.
(We walked in and had no wait time around 4pm)
Only the second time me and my fiancee have been here and we brought her mother for her birthday and food was still amazing.
Would recommend and most defiently will be coming back.

Food and service was astounding. Our waitress was friendly with great recommendations. The Mac and Cheese is definitely worth the visit, it’s truly a Minnesota gem. Easy parking, quick service, great choices. Delicious desserts!

Stella’s has AMAZING food, me and my boyfriend eat here often & most of the time we order takeout.
I ordered the cajun pasta once and I’ll never have anything different, I’m obsessed! We’ve also had the Salmon Oscar, the salmon is cooked to perfection and its other fixings are great too. We’ve also tried the fish tocos that are also amazing. The one downside I will say is they always ask for prepay over the phone, we like to pay in cash sometimes and they seem to frown upon that but other then that we love Stella’s!

Low grade dog food. Girlfriend’s steak came out cold, veggies were burnt, my steak hard to cut (med rare came out med well). Offered a desert that one person could eat. Thank you for a bad experience will never go back including their new location in Blaine that the hostess was all giddy about
Edit per response from the manger to this review. Not all my food was gone. There was a good portion of my steak still on the plate as well as the burnt veggies. The only thing that was consumed was the potato dish on my plate. Yes the ribeye was eaten but you know you don’t return steaks back to the kitchen. Yet her veggies or garnish were also burnt. Again you offered a desert and the server knew that my gf has celiac. Now your server checked on us after I was done trying to cut this steak and my gf had eaten her steak. How would you feel paying $105 for a meal that was suppose to be a valentines date night and it was a bomb. Yes I gave my note to your hostess I want to make sure you have gotten the note and not just thrown away. I stand by the comment of low grade dog food because I expect more from an establishment that is praised for their steaks and mine was garbage. It’s ok. Your establishment received their money and I didn’t receive quality food. You win and customer lost. Congrats

Absolutely exceeded my expectations. The tenderloin with risotto was exceptional. I only order steaks at steakhouses and I always ask for my steaks “on the rare side of medium rare” which is very specific – 75% of the time I have to send them back. At Stella’s, my steak (as well as everyone else’s) arrived precisely as requested on the first try. The sides were all excellent, as was the carrot cake. Walleye was also very good.

Excellent food and service! We had the California burgers and fries. Our server, Becky, took very good care of us and even gave me a tour of their private dining area for a groom’s dinner we have coming up in the summer. We will definitely go back.
