Great view of the mountain to watch. Food was good, fish had tons of bones but other than that not many complaints.

This is our favorite place to eat when coming to Boyne Mountain. The food has always been great. Service is always polite, kind, and quick. We’ve had the breakfast buffet and lunch options here. The breakfast buffet always has something unique to offer and there’s something for every kind of diet. The view is the best. You can watch people ski down Hemlock. It’s a great family place!

Dining area was clean and had a nice view of the mountain, prices are expensive but that’s to be expected with a resort. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with their house made chips. I have to say the chips were absolutely delicious. Unfortunately the sandwich left much to be desired, was overcooked and dry and a bit burnt. Didn’t have much flavor at all and tasted bland. Service was good but for that reason I can only give 3 stars.

I recently visited Boyne Mountain Resort and went to Stein for dinner as it was includded as part of our guided snowshoeing tour.
overall, it was a pleasant experience. The service was attentive and the waitstaff was friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was inviting, with beautiful Mountain View’s and skie views.
The food options was buffet but not vegetarian or vegan friendly. the prices were a bit high, particularly for ok drinks. Secondly, some of the dishes lacked bold flavors and seasonings.
Value – expensive for alcoholic drinks
Ambiance – it’s great, you can actually hear your date
Service – excellent
Taste – ok
Overall – one and done

For the price I would expect better food. Airline Chicken with a super salty mushroom sauce. The vegetarian pasta was a lack of creativity, 5 big carrots, bunch of sugar pea with strip and the pasta filling mega salty and tasting weird not sure if old spinach but ugly and disappointing. Sorry but I expected a better cook skills for the level of resort and price charged. Drinks, espresso martini milky and not good as well

To begin with the management was atrocious, we began our evening waiting in a line that wasn’t being help whatsoever, the servers didn’t communicate if we’re on a wait list or in line for a table, this went on for easily 25-30 minutes. Being in the restaurant business myself I understand the restaurant to customer relationship, and there was an absolute lack of it. To add upon our waiting experience we had a leaky ceiling above us in the lobby. Once we were finally seated our server was very tolerant with the poor management and was very nice. Although it did take quite awhile for us to be greeted by the server although I’ll give the servers the benefit of the doubt it was Christmas week and it was busy but there were still open tables in the dining room. Once the server helped us we ordered our drinks and food with an appetizer all at the same time to avoid waiting even longer. Our appetizer took 45 minutes to arrive and once it did we’re probably a hour and fifteen into our night. Our food probably arrived 15-20 minutes after our appetizer, the food was just okay, most of it wasn’t very good, the fish was though. We attempted to speak with the manager more than once but as I said before the management wasn’t good at all, when we were able to speak with him , he proceeded to ask us “do you run a restaurant?” Which I felt was inappropriate. Overall our server was very nice and agreed with our statements about the poor management, but even when we spoke with the manager he proceeded to do nothing about our poor experience.

A must visit while at Boyne. Come here for breakfast (it is including in the stay and ski just like Everett’s). Breakfast here is MUCH less crowded, and the food is better.
This is the classic ski lodge dining experience. Stop in for lunch while skiing or dinner on the weekends. The staff is very experienced and has been around Boyne for years to decades – they can give you the inside information.
Watch the weekly information sheets the resort gives out for specials (we went to an all you can eat prime rib and shrimp dinner there – delicious and affordable (especially for the kids).

Our women’s golf league had our banquet there last evening. With such a large group the staff at Boyne Mountain’s restaurant, Stein Erickson’s was able to provide excellent service that they are known for. In the time of covid and short staffing Kudos to the staff. Sean our bartender was great, always smiling. Would highly recommend Erickson’ and Boyne Mountain for your next function.
