We happened into this place by accident looking for somewhere to eat. This place just started opening on Mondays. Not a vast menu but plenty to choose from. As tempting as the burgers were (bison burger!), we opted for the steak and skinny fries with a calamari appetizer. I’ve never had calamari prepared this way. It was large, thick, strips that were lightly breaded, fried, and served with a sweet sauce or aioli garlic sauce. The steak was also served with the aioli sauce and skinny fries that were seasoned to perfection! Will definitely go back!

Steelhead is a great spot next to the park and pavilion if you’re looking for a bite to eat. The food is great and the cocktails are some of the best in town. There is a high quality to the food served and I always look forward to going into the bar to see what I’m going to order. Something to add is that there is indoor and outdoor seating, but they take advantage of the alleyway and use that seating area as well

Came in on a Sunday night. Not crowded. Super chill vibe. Clean, staff friendly and professional. Great food, artfully created. Guinness on tap. A little oasis in the crazy downtown area!

Excellent service and fantastic food. Dined outside and service was prompt and always there when needed. Even suggested a move and helped transfer all our plates, glasses, etc. when the sun shifted, and we lost shade at our table. The Whiskey Pepper Ribeye was perfectly prepared (medium rare) and one of the best cooked steaks I’ve had anywhere in a very long time. We also enjoyed the Steelhead Fillet, and the Blue Cheese Fries were amazing, even the next day as leftovers. Add to that some excellent drinks and we have definitely found a place to recommend to others and to add to our dinning short list.

Loved this place some issues with food and management. Ordered Brussel sprouts. Great flavor but just a plate of crispy leaves. No consistency at all. Our server was awesome but he was sent on a break without being replaced and we couldn’t beg borrow or steal a server. Then the manager had to redo our order twice which things happen but honestly for all the trouble I feel a free drink or appetizer or something was in order. Our server came back finally and he was very apologetic.

Sat down for 30 minutes and no one would even take our drink order. Staff were chatting about social lives and shining silverware. Bummed because food sounded great but super disrespectful

This past Friday, my wife and I visited Steelhead Bar & Grill for dinner. We had been here Pre pandemic but not since. We showed up around 7pm on a Friday and the place was empty. We were able to pick our seats and a waitress was with us right away. We both ordered 32oz beers (Kokanee and Kraken Stash) and they came out in huge goblets. I thought they were pretty cool. It my wife thought the glass was too big and heavy. She may have had a point there.

I’ve loved the smoked trout appetizer since the first time I tried it. Unfortunately, today’s experience with it was less than my favorite. The fish and cheese are still fantastic, but the crostinis have been replaced with some sort of crispy strip, elongated Frito chip looking things. It was not an improvement.
