Price is outrageous. I ordered a breakfast sandwich by phone for pick-up. I must have looked at an old menu price ($6.75). Arrived and was shocked to be charged over $15 for an egg sandwich on an English muffin with potatoes. Nothing wrong w the sandwich, I just didn’t know it came with a side or the high price. I paid but I wish they would have quoted me the price by phone. I probably would have canceled. Also, even if you call ahead, you still have to wait in line awhile behind people ordering. Your food sits there getting cold.

$18 and some change for 2 eggs, 2 biscuits and gravy. Pictures in reviews show sausage gravy, with lots of sausage and lots of gravy . I got neither. Absolutely no sausage. Since ordered it to go,I’m eating it. Gave it 2 because the staff is nice. Didn’t taste so great either.

Stopped in on a Sunday morning for brunch. Both the corned beef hash and biscuits and gravy were delicious. We sat at the bar seat tables outside in the front of the restaurant and it was perfect for people watching! Definitely recommend.

Absolutely incredible! Atmosphere is great. Breakfast was better than the Sheraton Grand Hotel. The customer service is extraordinary! This is by far the best restaurant in Sacramento. I will definitely recommend this place to everyone i meet on my flights to Sacramento. Keep up the good work.

Standard breakfast food. Nothing stood out as amazing. Menu prices are significantly higher than photos (as others have mentioned).

I honestly have no complaints. We came in on a busy Saturday afternoon, but there were surprisingly plenty of tables available. It’s a small and quaint restaurant. They have seating inside and outside. They only have one restroom available, and you’ll need staff to unlock it before using it. We walked up to the register, read through the menu board above for a minute or two, and then placed our order. The woman at the register was very friendly and patient. We received our food quickly. Everything tasted light, fresh, and great. The staff were really attentive and cleared our plates quickly. If you’re sitting outside, you have a nice view of the train going by.
If you’re lucky, you can find parking right in front of the restaurant. If not, there’s a parking garage within walking distance.

I’ve been here plenty of times, but I figured it was finally time to spill the (coffee) beans in a review. This cozy little coffee/breakfast/lunch gem in West Sacramento never disappoints. The coffee is top-notch, the food hits the spot, and the atmosphere has that perfect mix of charm and chill—especially if you grab a seat on the old wooden sidewalk patio. If you find yourself in West Sac, do yourself a favor and stop in. Your taste buds will thank you.

We stopped by with my husband for a quick coffee break, but honestly, it didn’t feel welcoming. There was a long line, and compared to other nearby spots, this café felt slower and less organized.
The coffee was $6 — not a huge difference from other places nearby that charge $5, but enough to make me pause and expect something a little better in return. Unfortunately, it didn’t deliver.
The interior had a damp smell — like old wood or moisture — which made it hard to enjoy the space. It just didn’t feel cozy or inviting. The whole atmosphere felt a bit sad and worn-out.
I’m glad we tried it once, but I wouldn’t return or recommend it. There are better cafés just steps away.

Steamers is a nice place to go for breakfast or lunch. They close at 3:00 pm, and serve breakfast till 11:00 am. The food is made with quality ingredients and served hot and fresh. The menu is filled with popular items, and the prices are reasonable. You order your food at the counter, and they deliver it to your table in about 5-10 minutes. The service is fast and friendly, and the quality is excellent. They’re happy to customize your meal within reason if you have specific requests. The location is right in the heart of Old Sacramento with plenty of unique shops and tourist attractions. This place beats my hotel breakfast for quality, selection, and price. It’s worth the short walk to eat here. I wish they were open for dinner. If you’re in the area, check them out, and you won’t be disappointed.

During a morning walk in old Sac I found this really cool breakfast place. It’s got a cozy vibe, with a full breakfast menu and a ton of baked goods. I had the spinach and mushroom omelet with oven-baked bacon and their artisan coffee. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. The place is clean and the staff is super friendly. I highly recommend Steamers and I can’t wait to go back!
