The steampunk inspired decor and exceptional service staff can be found in an historic building constructed in 1886 that was the original home of Rogue Brewing, the first brewery in Grants Pass. The brewery eventually fell victim to Prohibition but now Steam Distillery is happy to bring the spirits back to life as Grants Pass’ history and creative artisan craftsmanship blend for a touch of new and old. Stumbled upon this place while checking out the Glass Forge next door. Great atmosphere, great drinks, great staff! The food selection is kinda small, (especially since we are pescatarian) but it works well. Definitely will be coming back on our next trip to Oregon!

Local distillery and bar making their own vodka and gin. Cocktails are excellent. The bartender we had both nights knows his stuff. Killer smoked old fashions… But my favorite bourbon based cocktail was the Nautilus. Highly recommend coming here… Small food menu that changes regularly it seems… But the drinks and atmosphere are the stars here… And the friendly service. Lots of regulars here… Which is great.

If I could give more stars I would. Was visiting from out of town and didn’t know the menu changes everyday.. they were able to cook something up to suit my needs. The food tasted even better than it looked and it was a work of art! Everyone was so kind and accommodating. Had such a lovely experience. The people, atmosphere, art, food was far beyond expectation. Will definitely go out of my way to come here in the future.

A very unique cocktail venue with a kitchen. Had the fish and chips because most other items were sold out late Sunday evening. All good. Had a fun time and really enjoyed the ambiance.

Had to try this place just because of the theme. There were no cars parked in front, so I was concerned, but when we opened the door, the small place was full and we were put on a waiting list. So glad we stayed!!
GREAT Drinks, and STRONG!!! Chocolate Martini and a gin drink my wife loved. Friendly service and conversation.
And an interesting arrangement for food, they have another company that does the food for them. A couple that both had medical issues, and started the food truck to keep busy after retirement and are now Steam’s full time food service, using the kitchen in the building.
On to the food! So we shared a BBQ Pork (good) and DEEP FRIED RIBS! Yes, took a chance on the Fry Baby Ribs and they were Excellent.

Have been here multiple times after grabbing dinner elsewhere to have one of their fantastic smoked old fashioneds’. Decided to try dinner tonight with a great ipa on tap. OMG. Ordered the teriyaki burger (it has a fancier name on the menu) and the garlic fries. Big dude dropped the food off, I’m told he’s the chef, and literally one of the best burgers of my life. Perfectly cooked, beautifully seasoned and a nice mix of ingredients with just a slightly crispy texture to the patty. Chef knows what he’s doing. And if you love garlic the fries won’t disappoint. I have no fear of vampires.

I loved this place from the first time I set foot through the door. Great vibe with steampunk theme.
Stayed as part of Harvest Hosts and were greeted by very friendly staff. Misty, Terry and Scott.
Ate a delicious meatloaf sandwich which was moist and juicy on what looked like a home made bun from a food truck names Grip ‘N’ Grub.
Missed checking the town out so we will be back.
Would highly recommend Steam Distillery.

Both Wendy and Casey were awesome with making our drink, my favorite was when they made the holly smokes. (Video added) They also had a special menu past Sunday and we got the ‘Harvest veggie gnocchi ‘ and it was so good we ended up getting a second plate. Thank you guys for a wonderful night.
